Jackson Powers-Johnson is officially out for the Raiders’ Week 4 game against the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026. The starting right guard has a groin injury; Caleb Rogers is expected to replace him.
Is Jackson Powers-Johnson playing against the Chiefs?
No. The Raiders’ final injury report, issued Oct. 2, lists Powers-Johnson as Out with a groin injury and records him as not participating in Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday practices. The team defines “Out” as “Player will not play.” See the Raiders’ final injury report.
Who is expected to start at right guard?
Caleb Rogers is expected to start in Powers-Johnson’s place, according to the Associated Press. The Raiders’ Sept. 29 depth chart lists Rogers second behind Powers-Johnson at right guard. What does the injury mean for the matchup?
The absence changes the Raiders’ right-guard personnel, but it does not establish how the offensive line or game will perform. The Associated Press reported that Kansas City had gotten into the backfield on 52.6% of rushes, the third-highest rate in the league at the time of its Oct. 2 report. That figure is AP’s reported statistic; the underlying league data was not independently verified here, and the rate alone does not predict the outcome.

Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak described the value of Powers-Johnson’s presence while expressing confidence in the team’s depth: “Yeah, with him, that helped the entire offensive line,” Kubiak said, “and we’ve still got young guys that can play. … we’re counting on everybody.” The AP report includes Kubiak’s comments.
