Who led Pitt’s backfield while Turner was out?
Pitt’s pregame report said Damon Ferguson Jr. had taken the lead role during Turner’s absence and was averaging 59.8 rushing yards per game entering the matchup. That was a pregame average, not a full-season figure. Ferguson and La’Vell Wright also scored for Pitt in the Virginia Tech game.
