Published reports say an Applebee’s manager questioned two twins’ driver’s licenses while they tried to order margaritas, insisting the IDs had the same number. Other diners reportedly pointed out that the license numbers differed. BroBible says the manager later apologized and the brothers got their drinks.
Why did Applebee’s refuse to serve the twins margaritas?
According to BroBible’s October 2, 2026 report, the manager believed the two driver’s licenses were the same. The brothers reportedly shared a last name and birth date, but had different license numbers. A nearby customer examined the cards and told the manager, “They’re not the same driver’s license number.” BroBible says the manager apologized for the confusion and the twins ultimately received their drinks. BroBible’s account does not establish the restaurant’s location or the date of the encounter.
What do the reports say happened?
The Mary Sue’s September 1, 2026 article describes a manager telling the people in a video, “I’m telling you that these are both the same ID as far as the number goes. They’re both the same ID.” The outlet says other diners confirmed that the license numbers differed and that the manager eventually relented. The Mary Sue’s report identifies Zakk and Xander Paradise, known as The Paradise Twins, and describes the footage as an Instagram post; it also links to the twins’ TikTok.
BroBible’s October 2 story instead credits a TikTok featuring twins and names the account @mamonzita. It quotes the manager saying, “I’m telling you these are both the same ID as far as the number goes.” The accessible reports identify different social accounts and dates, and do not establish whether they describe the same video or separate encounters. The names, account, dialogue and outcome should therefore not be combined into one definitive account.
