The game is JAYWALK: An Endless Arcade Hopper Game. Its developer says it will stop being free for new players on October 13, 2026, and cost $4.99 USD. Add it to your Steam account before the change to keep it without charge; the announcement does not specify a cutoff time or time zone, so check the Steam listing and claim it ahead of the date.
Which game is free on Steam?
JAYWALK is an endless arcade runner inspired by Frogger. Steam’s description says players hop and dodge obstacles, collect coins, unlock characters, and compete with friends in multiplayer play. These are the developer’s descriptions, not an independent assessment of the game.

When does the free offer end, and what happens after?
In a Steam community announcement dated September 29, 2026, the developer said JAYWALK would change from free to $4.99 USD on October 13, 2026. That price applies to new players after the change, according to the announcement.
The same announcement says players who add the game to their Steam account before the price change keep it without charge. It does not identify an exact cutoff hour, time zone, or regional eligibility terms. Because the deadline is close and the terms may change, check the current Steam listing and add the game before October 13 rather than relying on a particular hour.
