Magico announced the A3 2027 on October 1, 2026, as a redesigned three-way, four-driver floorstanding loudspeaker. The company describes a new cabinet, new drivers and a new crossover; StereoNET reports a US$25,000-per-pair launch price and expected Q1 2027 shipping. Those are launch-era claims and details, not independent test results or confirmation that shipments have begun.
What is new in the Magico A3 2027?
The 2027 model keeps the A3’s three-way, four-driver floorstanding format, but Magico says it redesigned the enclosure, driver complement and crossover. The company says development used measurement instruments previously deployed for its flagship M9, including tools to measure cabinet vibration and map sound output around a three-dimensional sphere. It says those measurements informed cabinet bracing and damping; these are manufacturer descriptions, not independently verified performance findings.
Cabinet and finishes
The enclosure uses constrained-layer damping, radiused vertical edges, a revised base and A3-specific footers. Magico describes the panels as bead-blasted and anodised, with black, silver, red and blue finishes. The announcement does not provide independent cabinet-vibration measurements for the new speaker.
Drivers
The announced driver array comprises a 28 mm pure-beryllium dome tweeter, a 5-inch midrange and two 7-inch woofers. The midrange and woofer cones have aluminium-honeycomb cores with carbon-fibre skins. Magico also describes titanium voice coils and copper shorting rings in the midrange and bass drivers.

Crossover
Magico describes a three-way crossover with a 24 dB Linkwitz-Riley acoustic target and its Elliptical Symmetry Crossover techniques. Mundorf components are identified in the announcement. No independently published measurements establish how the crossover performs in the finished speaker.
How does it differ from the earlier A3?
Magico’s product page for the earlier A3 lists a 6-inch graphene/nanographene midrange, two 7-inch bass drivers, 88 dB sensitivity, 4-ohm impedance, a 26 Hz–50 kHz response and an aluminium enclosure. The 2027 announcement instead specifies a 5-inch midrange with an aluminium-honeycomb core and carbon-fibre skins. The two generations should not be treated as having interchangeable specifications.

What can—and can’t—be concluded about sound?
Magico’s announcement presents the new measurement process and construction as part of the redesign, but no independent listening review or measured response, distortion figure or comparative test score for the A3 2027 is established in the cited launch coverage. The company’s qualitative descriptions of reduced distortion should therefore be read as manufacturer claims, not measured findings.

The reported 87 dB sensitivity, 4-ohm nominal impedance and 50–300 W amplifier recommendation offer a starting point for considering system compatibility; they do not establish how the speaker will sound in a particular room or with a specific amplifier. Magico’s A3 2027 announcement also says the original A3 brought the company’s engineering and materials to a wider audience and that more listeners came to Magico through the A3 than through any other model in its history. That audience statement is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independently audited sales statistic. The release is listed in the company’s news index.
