Goodyear’s controller transition is scheduled for October 16, 2026: Margaret V. Snyder’s resignation and Stephen F. Shamrock’s appointment take effect the same day. Goodyear says Snyder is leaving to pursue another opportunity and that her departure is unrelated to the company’s financial or operating results or to disagreements over its policies or practices.
When does Goodyear’s controller change take effect?
Both changes are effective October 16, 2026. Snyder, Goodyear’s Vice President and Controller, announced her resignation on September 25, 2026. Shamrock is set to take over as Vice President and Controller on the effective date and will serve as the company’s principal accounting officer. Goodyear described his appointment as part of its established succession plan.
Why is Margaret Snyder leaving Goodyear?
Goodyear says Snyder is leaving to pursue another opportunity. The company also stated that her departure is not related to its financial or operating results and does not involve disagreements about financial, operational, accounting or reporting policies or practices. Those are Goodyear’s stated reasons and characterization of the departure.
Who is Stephen F. Shamrock?
Shamrock is an internal returnee with prior Goodyear finance experience and subsequent senior finance roles at other companies. Goodyear’s filing says he rejoined the company on September 24, 2025, as Vice President and Assistant Controller. Before that, he worked in Goodyear’s Finance Department from April 2004 to September 2014.

- Nordson Corporation: Vice President and Corporate Controller, Interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer, March 2022 to July 2025.
What else did Goodyear disclose?
The filing says Goodyear anticipates reviewing Shamrock’s compensation in October 2026; it does not state the outcome of that review. It also says he is not an “executive officer” as defined by Rule 3b-7 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The October 1, 2026 filing index on Goodyear’s investor site lists Form 8-K entries, corroborating the filing date. The disclosure establishes the announced transition plan, but does not establish whether a later filing changed it.
