UCF quarterback Keyone Jenkins was reported probable for the Knights’ Week 5 game at Houston, according to a RotoWire update published September 30, 2026. That was a pregame expectation, not confirmation that he was cleared or played.
What was Jenkins’s status for the Houston game?
RotoWire’s September 30 report listed Jenkins as probable for the October 3 game and described the issue as undisclosed. The report did not name an injury. UCF’s official game notes, also prepared September 30, discuss Jenkins’s role and recent performance but do not provide a diagnosis or explicitly confirm final game-day clearance.
Accordingly, the available pregame information supported expecting Jenkins to be available, but did not establish a final active status or confirm that he took the field. The material here predates kickoff and does not establish whether a later update changed that expectation.
Game details and season context
UCF was scheduled to visit No. 20 Houston on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with kickoff set for noon Eastern (11 a.m. Central) on ESPN2, according to UCF Athletics’ game notes.

Jenkins is UCF’s senior quarterback, No. 12, according to the team roster. Houston Athletics’ September 29 preview said he had appeared in all four UCF games through Week 4, completing 30 of 41 passes for 288 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
Jenkins’s most recent performance
Against TCU, Jenkins completed 19 of 20 passes. UCF’s game notes called that a program single-game completion-percentage record. He also completed 14 consecutive passes, five short of the streak record cited by UCF. Those performance details provide context for his role, but do not clarify the undisclosed issue behind the probable designation.
