Square Enix has announced a physical FINAL FANTASY IX Music Box – Not Alone—not a new Final Fantasy IX game. The collectible features the song “Not Alone” and silhouettes of Zidane and his companions. Square Enix’s regional stores list different release months: July 2026 in North America and October 2026 in Europe.
What is the “Not Alone” announcement?
It is a Square Enix music box based on Final Fantasy IX. The official product description says it features “Not Alone” and silhouettes of Zidane and his companions Garnet, Vivi, Adelbert, Freya, Eiko, Quina, and Amarant on the front. Square Enix describes its music-box series as using case designs drawn from scenes where the songs are heard. View the North American product listing.
Is this a new Final Fantasy IX game?
No. The announcement is for a physical collectible, the FINAL FANTASY IX Music Box – Not Alone, rather than a new game. The official stores describe the music box and its design, not a game release.
When does the music box release?
Square Enix lists different months on its regional product pages. The North American listing shows July 2026; the European listing shows October 2026 and says the date is approximate and subject to change. Treat these as region-specific store dates, not one worldwide release date.
