Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price missed practice Thursday, October 2, 2026, with a chest injury. Seattle said he aggravated the injury during Wednesday’s practice, then ruled him out for the team’s Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Coach Mike Macdonald said the team did not yet know how long Price would be out.
Why did Jadarian Price miss Thursday’s practice?
Seattle listed Price with a chest injury on its Week 4 injury report. He had been limited Wednesday, October 1, before aggravating the injury during practice, according to the team’s injury update.
The Seahawks said Price initially sustained the chest injury in their Week 2 win over Arizona. He played in Week 3 against Washington, then the injury worsened during Week 4 preparation.

How long will Jadarian Price be out?
The Seahawks did not provide a return date or a more specific diagnosis than a chest injury. Asked whether the injury might be a long-term concern, head coach Mike Macdonald said, “Don’t know that yet… I’m not sure how long he’s going to be out.” That is uncertainty, not a forecast of a particular recovery period.

DNP means “did not participate”: the player did not take part in that day’s practice. It is a practice designation, separate from a game-day status. In Price’s case, Seattle later ruled him out of the Chargers game.
