Reported activities include training, practical city services, battleground queues and PvP vendors, plus a staged cloth-donation quest. Access is faction-sensitive: Alliance characters can reportedly use the city safely, while Horde characters are not welcome inside; Horde can reach the dungeon from outside the city with a sewer key. These details reflect beta reporting available on October 3, 2026, and may change before launch.
What can you do in Dalaran City?
The beta reports describe Dalaran in the Alterac Mountains as a city area with services and activities beyond dungeon access. The listed options are:
- Train certain class skills and professions, including First Aid.
- Use a stable master, barbershop and transmogrifier.
- Queue for battlegrounds and buy PvP gear in The Underbelly.
- Complete a reported cloth-donation quest chain.
- Travel through the city toward the separate City of Dalaran dungeon, subject to faction access.
These services and routes are reported in beta guides, not confirmed launch features. Wowhead’s Dalaran guide and a separate September 29, 2026 report cover the city details.
How do you get to Dalaran?
Guides place the city in the Alterac Mountains, northwest of Southshore, and describe three routes: stairs north of Hillsbrad Fields, a flying ship between Dalaran and Valanaar on Zephras Isle, and a portal connection with Stormwind. The guides do not report a flight path landing in Dalaran.

City access is faction-sensitive in the beta reports: Alliance characters can enter safely, while Horde characters are not welcome inside. These routes and access rules may change between beta builds or by launch.
What services and trainers are in the city?
Class trainers
The reported class trainers are Alfina Nightgaze for Druids and Jessa Weaver for Mages.

Profession and First Aid trainers
The guides report seven trainers for First Aid, Enchanting, Cooking, Herbalism, Blacksmithing, Tailoring and Alchemy. Timothy Jones appears as an Apprentice Jeweler, but the reports do not confirm him as a Jewelcrafting trainer; one says he does not teach anything yet.
Other conveniences
A stable master, barbershop and transmogrifier are also reported in the city. Availability may depend on the beta build and character access.

What PvP activities are available?
Four battlemasters in The Underbelly reportedly queue players for Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley and Darkspear Islands. The same guides list three vendors selling PvP gear. Those are beta-reported activities; the sources do not establish that every battleground or vendor will remain available at launch.
What is the Dalaran cloth-donation quest?
A city guide dated September 29, 2026 describes one available city quest at level 20: A Donation of Wool. The chain asks for cloth in stages:

The guide’s level-20 city quest count should not be treated as a count of every quest associated with Dalaran. Separate beta client data lists five level-33 quests associated with the dungeon, not the city quest area.

The city and the City of Dalaran dungeon are separate destinations. Alliance players reportedly enter the dungeon through a sewer pipe and instance portal in Cantrips & Crows. Horde players use an entrance outside the city and need a Dalaran Sewer Key; the available reporting does not say where to obtain that key.

A beta-client-data reference updated October 3, 2026 lists five level-33 quests associated with the dungeon. Their objectives include collecting a plant, a book or cores, and defeating named enemies. These instance quests are distinct from the level-20 cloth-donation chain described in the city guide. The quest data is from WoW Forever Talents’ beta-cache reference.
