Manastones add stats to compatible weapons and armor when you inscribe them into the item’s Manastone slots. To use one, first check that the equipment has a Manastone slot; to get them, check current event rewards and the item’s in-game source details. Specific drops and exchange-shop routes reported by secondary guides can change, so verify them in the live game.
What Manastones do in AION2
A Manastone provides a stat effect when inscribed into a compatible weapon or armor piece. An item record describes the stat effect and slot use, while an official equipment listing identifies Manastone inscription as an equipment feature. How to use a Manastone
- Inspect the weapon or armor. Confirm that it has a Manastone slot; not every item is necessarily compatible.
- Open the Manastone inscription function. Select the compatible equipment and the stone you want to use. Available official sources confirm inscription as an equipment feature but do not establish a current menu-by-menu path or fee, so follow the labels shown in your game client.
- Choose a stone based on its stat. Compare the effect with your character’s needs. Current evidence does not establish a universal best stat, class recommendation, or success probability.
Manastone inscription is distinct from Spiritstone inscription. The official item information lists these as separate equipment features, so check the item type and slot before using either system.
Where to get Manastones
Check current event rewards
One dated official example is NC’s attendance event, which ran from September 23, 2026 after maintenance through October 28, 2026 before maintenance. It listed bound Growth Manastone Boxes for attendance days 6 and 20. This was a limited event reward, not a permanent acquisition route; check current event notices for availability. Check the item’s source information in game
Use the item’s in-game source details to see which acquisition methods currently apply to your character and server. Secondary guides report named-monster drops for some lower-grade and Abyssal Manastones, as well as an Abyss trade shop, but exact locations, eligibility, currency costs, and weekly limits should be treated as provisional and checked in game. What to verify before spending a stone
- Whether your target equipment has an open Manastone slot.
- The stone’s stat effect and grade, and whether it is bound or tradeable.
- For a reported drop or shop exchange, the current location, eligibility, limit, and cost shown in game.
Published current drop rates, inscription success rates, and broadly applicable numerical costs are not established by the cited sources. Avoid relying on unverified figures or treating older drop lists as permanent.
