Lovable says teams can publish apps built with its app builder into a company’s Microsoft Entra tenant through Microsoft’s Copilot Managed Runtime SDK. The apps can use work-account sign-in and appear in the organization’s Microsoft app inventory. The runtime is in public preview, however, and the integration is a deployment option—not a guarantee that every Lovable app is secure, compliant, or production-ready.
What the Lovable and Microsoft integration does
Lovable is the app-building tool; Copilot Managed Runtime is Microsoft’s execution and management layer; Entra provides identity; and Microsoft 365 and Fabric connections provide access to business data. These are related parts of the announced flow, not interchangeable products.
Lovable describes a sequence in which a team builds an app, connects Copilot Managed Runtime when ready, and publishes it. Lovable packages the app with Microsoft’s SDK and deploys it into the organization’s Microsoft Entra tenant. Microsoft says the runtime executes code within the Microsoft 365 tenant boundary and centralizes deployment and operations. See Lovable’s announcement and Microsoft’s Copilot Managed Runtime overview.
That tenant deployment path should not be confused with Lovable’s separate enterprise-page description of apps as standard code synced with GitHub and a private-preview option to deploy on AWS or Azure into a customer’s own cloud account. Those are distinct offerings, not evidence that the Copilot Managed Runtime integration deploys to AWS or Azure.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What Microsoft says IT can govern
Microsoft describes a centrally managed host with identity, governed data access, and app lifecycle controls. Administrators can review app access, usage, health, and policy in the Microsoft 365 admin center; Microsoft also says they can enable or disable apps and review default policies there. The announced controls span several areas:
- Identity and access: Entra sign-in and organizational authorization policies.
- Connectors, data, and endpoints: organizational policies define which connections and endpoints apps may use.
- Deployment and lifecycle: deployment, versioning, source control through Git, and previewing a new version while a current one remains available.
- Monitoring and inventory: usage visibility, app health, and a central app inventory in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
These are Microsoft’s descriptions of the product model, not an independent security assessment. Central governance can reduce the need for each team to assemble a separate runtime, but it does not establish that an app’s behavior, access scope, or data handling is appropriate. IT should still review each app and the policies applied to it. Microsoft’s post describes the host and SDK as being in public preview; it does not establish a general-availability date or universal production readiness.

Which Microsoft services Lovable says apps can connect to
Lovable says apps can connect to Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote, as well as Microsoft Fabric lakehouses and warehouses, Dataverse, and SQL. Lovable describes read/write behavior for the listed connections. These are Lovable’s integration claims; they do not mean every app automatically receives access to every service. Access still depends on the configured connection, identity, and applicable organizational policy.
Lovable’s announcement says Microsoft 365 connectors, Fabric, and Microsoft sign-in for apps are available on every Lovable plan at announcement time. It distinguishes those from workspace sign-in with Entra ID, which it says is included on Business and Enterprise plans. Plan terms can change; check Lovable’s current announcement and plan details before relying on an entitlement.

Runtime governance is not the same as Lovable’s own security features
Lovable separately describes Business and Enterprise workspace features including SSO, SCIM, security scanning, and audit logs. Its security page also describes role-based controls, separate editing, approval, and publishing permissions, server-side authorization, encrypted and scoped secrets, and automatic or on-demand scans. Those are Lovable-published claims about its platform. They should not be presented as controls supplied by Microsoft’s runtime.
In practice, a buyer evaluating the flow should consider both layers: what Lovable’s workspace controls do for app creation and approval, and what Microsoft’s runtime and tenant policies do for execution, identity, data connections, and operations. The announcements do not provide a third-party security certification or independent assessment specific to this integration.

What the preview does—and does not—establish
Microsoft says Copilot Managed Runtime and its SDK are in public preview. Microsoft also says the runtime already powers apps built in Copilot Cowork, Copilot Code, and Copilot Studio, while access is opening to third-party tools and professional developers. Lovable’s announcement presents a publish/connect path for its users; it does not say that all Lovable apps automatically run in the runtime.
The vendor pages do not establish a general-availability date, the supported geography for this integration, runtime pricing, service-level commitments, detailed data-residency guarantees for hosted apps, a comprehensive list of compatible third-party authoring tools, or an independent security certification for the integration. Treat those points as unresolved rather than inferring them from Lovable’s separate security claims or its separate AWS/Azure private-preview option.

Examples are product scenarios, not verified customer outcomes
Lovable illustrates possible workflows such as reading supplier statements from Outlook and flagging unpaid invoices against ERP data, tracking construction tasks and costs from OneDrive documents, turning Excel sheets into tools that write changes back, and building reports on live Fabric data. These examples show the kinds of apps the companies have in mind; the announcements do not establish them as independently verified customer deployments.
Microsoft’s own scenarios include a launch-management app connected to approved planning data, developers continuing work in familiar web technologies, and administrators reviewing apps and usage centrally. Neither company provides an independent productivity benchmark or evidence that the integration reduces deployment time or security incidents.
Quick Recap
How to assess the option for your organization
- Confirm the preview fits your deployment needs. Establish with Microsoft and Lovable whether the current public-preview integration is available to your organization and suitable for the app’s intended use.
- Map the app’s access. Identify the Entra identity, users, Microsoft 365 or Fabric connections, data scopes, and endpoints it needs; verify that tenant policy permits them.
- Review the app and its creation controls. Assess the app’s behavior and data handling, and distinguish Lovable workspace permissions and scans from Microsoft runtime controls.
- Plan operations before publishing. Decide who approves and publishes versions, monitors health and usage, responds to issues, and can disable the app.
- Verify commercial and technical terms. Check current plan entitlements, pricing, geography, service commitments, and data-residency terms directly; these details are not established by the announcements.
