Aprio acquired Denver advisory firm TGRP Solutions effective October 1, 2026, adding more than 70 professionals to its Advisory practice. Aprio says the deal strengthens its accounting, transaction-advisory and talent services and supports a more unified Office of the CFO offering. The announcement did not disclose financial terms.
What the acquisition includes
TGRP Solutions serves middle-market, private-equity-backed and publicly traded enterprise businesses across Colorado. Founded in 2010, the firm provides Office of the CFO support, technical accounting, IPO readiness, transaction support, staffing and recruiting. Aprio says more than 70 TGRP professionals joined its Advisory practice as part of the acquisition.
Three TGRP leaders named in Aprio’s announcement are joining as partners:
- Mark Reister, TGRP founder and president
- Jim Lockhart, managing director of consulting
- Doug Nassif, director of placement and contract solutions
Why Aprio says it made the deal
Aprio describes the combination as a way to bring its Accounting Advisory and Talent Advisory capabilities together under an Office of the CFO platform. The firm says that approach is intended to help clients manage financial operations and strategic planning. Those are Aprio’s stated goals; the announcement does not provide evidence of post-acquisition results or client outcomes.

Aprio CEO Richard Kopelman said: “By combining TGRP Solutions’ technical accounting capabilities with Aprio’s Office of the CFO vision, we are creating a more connected experience that helps companies navigate complexity and unlock opportunity.”
Reister said joining Aprio would expand opportunities for TGRP’s team and give clients access to a broader range of resources and solutions.

How the deal fits Aprio’s Denver expansion
Aprio calls the TGRP acquisition its fifth Denver-market combination. According to the firm’s October 1, 2026 announcement, its Colorado expansion began with Gomerdinger & Associates in July 2023, continued with Pontiff + Associates and Elite Tax & Accounting in December 2024, and included TaxOps’ State and Local Tax team in January 2026.
Aprio reported that it had 35 team members in the Denver market before the TGRP combination, with offices in Greenwood Village and Westminster. The chronology and headcount are company-reported figures, not independent measures of market position.
