Maryland forward Robert Jennings II has reportedly been cleared for all basketball-related activities, according to an October 2, 2026 RotoWire update citing CBS Sports reporter Jon Rothstein. That is an activity-clearance report—not confirmation that Jennings will play in a particular game.
What the update says
RotoWire reported that “Jennings (hip) has been cleared for all basketball related activities,” attributing the information to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. The report does not say that Maryland announced the clearance, and the team’s roster listing does not independently confirm his health status.
Being cleared for basketball-related activities establishes that he may take part in those activities; it does not establish a game appearance, starting role, expected minutes, or medical prognosis. No specific game availability follows from this report alone.
What happened to Jennings’s hip?
Terrapin Times reported that a hip injury ended Jennings’s 2025–26 season after three games and that he received a medical redshirt. Its April 13, 2026 report also covered his transfer from Oklahoma State to Maryland. Terrapin Times

Jennings’s place on Maryland’s roster
Maryland’s official 2026–27 roster lists Robert Jennings II as a graduate forward, No. 25, at 6 feet 8 inches and 225 pounds. It identifies Texas Tech and Oklahoma State as his previous schools. The roster confirms his place on the team, not that he is medically ready for a game. Maryland roster

How to interpret “good to go”
- Reported: RotoWire says Jennings was cleared for all basketball-related activities, citing Jon Rothstein.
- Confirmed by Maryland’s roster: Jennings is listed on the 2026–27 team.
- Not established by these sources: whether he will play in the next game, when he will appear, or what role or minutes he may have.
Because injury status can change, a specific game decision requires a newer update from Maryland or a current report from a reliable reporter.
