No. Brett Thorson is listed OUT for Minnesota’s Week 4, 2026 game against Miami, so he will not play Sunday. The Vikings list a right hamstring injury and record no practice participation Wednesday through Friday.
Why is Brett Thorson out?
Minnesota’s official Week 4 injury report lists Thorson, a punter, with a right hamstring injury and an OUT designation. The report records him as a DNP—did not participate—in all three practices: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The team’s report legend defines OUT as “Player will not play.”
The designation and body-area label do not establish a more specific diagnosis, injury severity, or how the injury happened.
Who is expected to punt for the Vikings?
CBS Sports reported on October 2, 2026, that Johnny Hekker was set to be elevated again. That is the outlet’s report; the available information here does not independently verify a roster transaction.
