Its official page says seasonal offers will be available during the next Black Friday and Cyber Monday period, but does not specify when they begin. Proton’s general deals page advertises up to 70% off; its displayed prices and discount figures are placeholders, so that headline is not confirmation of a 2026 Black Friday offer.
When does Proton VPN’s 2026 Black Friday sale start?
Proton’s official Black Friday FAQ says, “Our seasonal deals will be available during the next Black Friday and Cyber Monday period.” It does not provide a launch date. Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, according to TechRadar’s 2026 roundup, but that calendar date is not a confirmed Proton sale start date.
As of October 3, 2026, no specific Proton 2026 start date had been announced in the sources reviewed. VPNAlert’s October 2 report and TechRadar’s October 1 roundup likewise said the offer had not been announced at the time they checked. Those dated observations do not predict when Proton will publish its terms.
Is Proton VPN offering up to 70% off for Black Friday 2026?
Not as a confirmed 2026 seasonal discount. Proton’s general deals page uses the headline “Get up to 70% off Proton VPN,” but the page’s price and percentage fields displayed placeholders when checked on October 3, 2026. The page also says it was last updated in April 2026. Treat “up to 70% off” as a general deals-page claim, not a verified Black Friday price.

A separate, dated price report offers a useful snapshot: VPNAlert reported on October 2, 2026 that a two-year VPN Plus offer was $2.99 per month, or $71.76 for 24 months, and described it as 70% off. This is VPNAlert’s reported offer, not a guaranteed live Proton checkout price or an announced Black Friday promotion. Check the amount and terms shown at checkout before buying.
How does the reported price compare with previous Black Friday offers?
The figures below are historical or independently reported prices for the 24-month VPN Plus plan. They are not a promise that Proton will repeat a discount, and the October 2026 figure is VPNAlert’s report of an offer it observed, rather than a confirmed seasonal deal.

Should you buy now or wait for Black Friday?
Base the decision on the actual checkout total and your need for service, rather than assuming the 2026 sale will match a past deal. In particular, check these details before subscribing:
- Total paid today: A monthly equivalent can make a long commitment look cheaper than its upfront charge. Compare the full cost for the initial term.
- Term and renewal: Confirm how long the offer lasts and what the subscription renews at, and when. Proton’s captured deal page did not expose a verified renewal price.
- Eligibility and currency: Check the offer shown for your account and region. The available sources do not establish universal 2026 eligibility rules or regional prices.
- Value of waiting: If you need a VPN now, compare the current checkout offer with the cost of waiting. The 2025 reported 75% discount is historical context, not evidence that the 2026 deal will be as large.
Proton says VPN Plus supports up to 10 simultaneous device connections and advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee for paid plans. Its Black Friday FAQ says subscribers can cancel and request a refund within 30 days. Check the terms applying to your payment method and jurisdiction before purchase.
