How to unlock wings in AION 2
Flight is reported to unlock early in the Poeta story, during the tutorial chain in Damina Forest. Secondary guides place it around the fifth quest, identified as “Ex. 11 Search Preparations…,” but exact quest wording may vary by build. Follow the Poeta opening quests and watch for the flight HUD icon or a flight-related tutorial. If the control is not available yet, continue the story and check your current quest log.
The quest placement is described by Power Up Gaming’s October 1, 2026 guide and AllThingsHow’s September 19, 2026 guide; it is not established here as a universal quest label for every client build.
How to fly and glide
The NCSOFT Taiwan controls guide lists these PC inputs. Keyboard bindings can be changed, and the guide is regional, so confirm the current mapping in your own client if a key does not work.

How to save flight energy
Flight and glide use the flight meter. If it empties while you are airborne, your character can fall, so treat the remaining meter as a reason to land rather than as a resource to spend to zero.

- Use regular flight or glide for ordinary travel. They avoid the faster drain associated with sprinting, according to Power Up Gaming’s guide.
- Accelerate selectively. Hold Shift only when you need a short speed increase; sprinting is reported to drain energy faster than ordinary flight or glide.
- Land with a reserve. Choose a safe landing point before the meter is nearly empty, especially when crossing an area with few places to touch down.
Power Up Gaming also describes folding and redeploying the wings to carry momentum between bursts. Consider this a technique to try, not a confirmed way to travel at zero energy cost: the cited guide does not establish a guaranteed amount of energy saved.

Do not treat Taiwan or Korea client details as confirmed global rules. A wing reference verified September 30, 2026 distinguishes regional client data from announced global information; it says global flight-time limits, wing stats, rarity tiers, and enhancement details had not been announced there. That is a dated status report, not proof that those details remain unavailable in every later client update. Check the live game for region-specific rules before relying on a particular flight duration, wing attribute, or upgrade effect.

A secondary compilation says NCSOFT streams described flight as useful for combat as well as exploration, and reports that Abyss rings can refresh available flight time while wings are open. Treat this as context rather than a universal rule: the compilation does not establish that the ring mechanic applies in every area.
