Pokémon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire Plus is a fan modification of the Game Boy Advance game Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire. A September 2026 community release post describes version 1.1.5 as adding 45 Pokémon, shiny Pokémon, two bonus stages, a new mode, extra balls, and a PokéNav progress tracker. It also reports mid-game board switching and regular-play access to e-Reader Pokémon. The post does not explain the mechanics behind the boss fights or specify which Pokémon make up the expanded Pokédex.
What is Pokémon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire Plus?
It is a fan-made modification of Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire, the Game Boy Advance pinball game—not a separate retail release or a feature included with a standard GBA cartridge. The base game is identified as a GBA title by Bulbapedia. The Plus features described here come from a community release post, rather than an independently inspected project changelog.

What version 1.1.5 reportedly adds
A September 2026 post in r/PokemonROMhacks, attributed to CallumSmilee, lists these additions for version 1.1.5. Treat the figures and feature descriptions as claims in that community post, not as independently verified release notes.
- 45 new Pokémon: the post gives this count but does not provide a confirmed species-by-species list.
- Shiny Pokémon: shiny encounters are listed, but the post does not establish encounter rates or the exact hunting mechanics.
- Two bonus stages and a new mode: the post names these additions without describing their rules or unlock conditions.
- More balls: extra balls are included in the feature list; their exact types or effects are not specified there.
- A PokéNav progress tracker: the post says the PokéNav can track progress, but does not detail its full functions.
- Mid-game board switching: players can reportedly change boards during a game.
- e-Reader Pokémon through regular play: the post says these Pokémon can be encountered without relying on the original e-Reader route, but gives no further encounter details.
What is known about boss fights and the expanded Pokédex?
“Boss fights” and “an extended Dex” appear in the headline framing, but the accessible release-post feature list does not establish how boss encounters work or precisely which Pokémon the expanded Pokédex contains. It is reasonable to say the release is presented as adding Pokémon and new content; it would go beyond the available details to describe boss mechanics, specific species, or completion requirements.
#1 Best Overall
- Players use their flippers to hit the targets on the Ruby & Sapphire boards
- Keep your Monster Ball in play and rack up the points
- Try to capture over 200 Pokemon as you play, for extra challenge!
That distinction matters if you are deciding whether the hack suits your preferred play style: the reported additions are broad feature claims, not a full mechanical guide or confirmed Pokédex checklist.
How does version 1.1.5 fit the release timeline?
The community post says the hack had been available for about a month before it was added to Hackdex. That means the directory listing should not be confused with the date the modification first became available. The post links to Hackdex, but its project destination could not be accessed for confirmation; no download, patching, or compatibility instructions can be established from the available material.

What hardware does it require?
The original Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire is a Game Boy Advance game, so compatible GBA hardware is one possible way to play the base title. That does not mean a retail console or cartridge includes Plus: it is a fan modification, and the supported hardware, emulator list, patch format, and base-ROM requirements are not established by the accessible feature post. Consult the project’s own documentation before attempting to obtain or apply a patch.
The original game also supported Pokédex and high-score sharing via a Game Boy Advance Game Link cable, according to Bulbapedia. That is background about the base game, not confirmation that Plus changes or preserves those functions.
