Beast of Reincarnation’s October 1, 2026 update adds Very Hard and Ruthless difficulty modes, expands the choices available in Reincarnation+ (New Game+), and makes enemy item drops and field items eligible for optional auto-pickup. It also revises some enemy patterns and combat balance, adjusts cutscene pacing, and includes interface and PC fixes.
What the update adds to difficulty settings
The official notes describe the update as v1.1.00 / v1.011.000 on Fictions Support and v1.1.0 in the Steam PC announcement. Both records date the patch to October 1, 2026, and call it patch #7. These are the version labels used by those respective official records; the support notice does not provide a platform-by-platform rollout schedule.
Very Hard and Ruthless
Very Hard is a new option above Hard. Ruthless is a separate bonus challenge: Emma dies instantly from a single hit. The notes do not give numerical damage, enemy-health, or other balance values for either mode.
Reincarnation+ choices
Reincarnation+ now lets players choose Hard, Very Hard, or Ruthless. Its default difficulty corresponds to Normal, so players who want a harder New Game+ run must select one of the higher options.

Changing difficulty during a run
Players can switch difficulty modes during gameplay. Choosing a mode at the start therefore does not lock the run into that setting.
Enemy, pickup, and combat changes
- Enemy patterns: Attack patterns were changed for some Nushi variants and some Shidou encounters. The notes say additional Shidou updates are planned; they do not say that every Nushi or Shidou pattern changed.
- Auto-pickup: Field items and items dropped by enemies can now be collected automatically. The feature is optional and can be toggled under Settings > Gameplay.
- Difficulty balance: Certain bosses and enemies that were easier than intended were adjusted.
- Combat balance: The update adjusts ranged-weapon damage against bosses and the attack power of selected Blade Arts Finishers and Bloom Arts. The notes provide no specific before-and-after values.
Cutscene, interface, and PC fixes
Dialogue pacing and scene timing were adjusted across numerous event cutscenes. The update also fixes UI layout issues on ultrawide monitors and adds proper ultrawide support to the Skill Tree screen.

The Steam PC notes additionally describe mitigations for map mouse behavior when a controller is connected and a keyboard-and-mouse issue in food-production menus. They list further bug fixes, but the available summary does not enumerate every fix. The Steam announcement is specifically for PC; the cited notices do not establish that every listed PC change or the update itself rolled out identically on every platform.
