What is Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered?
It combines Dynasty Warriors 3 with the expansion Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends. Koei Tecmo says the remaster brings back the original game’s large-scale battles and the expansion’s officer scenarios, weapons, bodyguard customization, and challenge modes. The action is set during China’s Three Kingdoms period.

The familiar Musou-style combat lets you choose from more than 40 officers and take on battles framed as one player against 1,000 enemies. Koei Tecmo lists support for one to two players.
What has changed in the remaster?
Koei Tecmo says the visuals have been reworked with Unreal Engine 5. PlayStation Blog also reports refined gameplay mechanics and a revised user interface, intended to preserve the original experience while making it more comfortable to play.

The date in the original announcement is no longer current. Koei Tecmo Europe and PlayStation Blog initially announced a March 19, 2026 release in September 2025. Koei Tecmo America’s current game page instead gives October 1, 2026, and labels the game available now. The earlier date was superseded.
