Grave Seasons is now scheduled to release on March 9, 2027. Developer Perfect Garbage announced the new date on September 30, moving the game from its Fall 2026 target. The studio says the delay gives it more time to handle console porting, optimize performance, polish the game, and fix bugs.
When does Grave Seasons come out?
The latest announced release date is March 9, 2027, according to Perfect Garbage’s September 30, 2026 announcement and the studio’s FAQ. The FAQ lists Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 1 as platforms. The developer’s FAQ is available at Grave Seasons FAQ.
Why was Grave Seasons delayed?
Perfect Garbage said the team’s first major console porting effort proved difficult, and it is now working with a porting partner. The additional development time is being used to optimize the game for Switch and a broader range of PC specifications, as well as to complete final polish and bug fixing. In its September 30 devlog, the Perfect Garbage Team called the game “content complete”; that means its content is locked, not that porting, optimization, or final polish is finished. The September date supersedes both earlier targets. The day-one Game Pass detail appeared in the March announcement but was not restated in the September delay post, so current Game Pass availability should not be inferred from that earlier notice. The cited announcements do not establish that a demo is currently available.

Is Grave Seasons still coming to Switch?
Yes. The developer FAQ edited September 30, 2026 lists Nintendo Switch 1 among the planned platforms, alongside Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The delay announcement specifically says the team is using the extra time to improve performance on Switch as well as across a wider range of PC specifications.

In the June 5 announcement, Perfect Garbage Studios and Blumhouse Games described the game as having “300k words of narrative” and “over 600+ items to discover.” The Perfect Garbage Team’s September 30 devlog reported “600k+ wishlists on Steam.” These are developer-reported figures, not independently audited measures.
