Thermaltake’s 2026 Computex materials introduce the Toughpower i2000W, a 2,000-watt power supply with an 80 PLUS Platinum certification listing, selectable single-rail or multi-rail operation, and software monitoring for PCI-E, CPU, and 12V-2X6 outputs. The announcement establishes key features, but not a retail price, release date, or regional availability.

What Thermaltake has announced

The Toughpower i2000W is a 2,000-watt addition to Thermaltake’s Toughpower i family. Thermaltake presents the capacity for demanding systems involving overclocking or multiple graphics cards. Its official product page lists 80 PLUS Platinum certification at 2000W and identifies software monitoring and rail-mode selection as features. Thermaltake’s Toughpower i2000W page

What the listed features mean for a build

2,000 watts of rated capacity

A 2,000W supply is aimed at unusually power-hungry desktops, workstations, AI systems, or multi-GPU builds—not a typical single-GPU gaming PC. The wattage alone does not establish whether the unit suits a particular system: the full component load, required connectors, and the power supply’s model-specific specifications all matter.

80 PLUS Platinum listing

Thermaltake lists the 2000W model as 80 PLUS Platinum certified. That identifies its stated efficiency tier; it does not specify this unit’s efficiency at every load or translate directly into a particular electricity-bill saving. Thermaltake’s Toughpower i2000W page

Rail selection and software monitoring

The page says users can select single-rail or multi-rail operation and monitor PCI-E, CPU, and 12V-2X6 outputs through software. The announcement does not provide enough detail to compare telemetry accuracy, supported software versions, or connector counts. Thermaltake’s Toughpower i2000W page

How unusual is a 2,000W model?

Thermaltake’s January 2024 release described a Toughpower i range from 550W to 1650W, making the announced 2,000W capacity a step beyond that earlier range. The 2024 release also discussed ATX 3.1 compatibility and PCIe 12V-2X6 support for that product range; those details should not be assumed to apply unchanged to the i2000W without model-specific confirmation.
