Gigabyte’s 2022 entry into Intel’s custom Arc graphics-card market was a notable step for the new GPU line—but it was not Intel’s first board partner. The company’s Eurasian Economic Commission filing listed five Arc A-series cards: four Arc A380 models and one Arc A310.
Was Gigabyte the first major Intel Arc partner?
Not the first Arc partner overall. Contemporary coverage described Gigabyte as the next partner to offer custom Arc cards to DIY buyers, after companies including Gunnir and ASRock. MSI’s A300-series cards were reportedly limited to prebuilt systems at the time. The more accurate takeaway is that Gigabyte was a large, familiar graphics-card brand joining Intel’s custom-card market in this 2022 wave.
The filing was reported by VideoCardz and, on October 18, 2022, by KitGuru. Gigabyte was already associated with Radeon and GeForce graphics cards, so its participation gave Arc another recognizable retail board partner. VideoCardz also noted the “GV-I” prefix in Gigabyte’s Intel Arc product codes, distinct from “GV-R” for Radeon and “GV-N” for GeForce.
Which Gigabyte Intel Arc cards were listed?
The filing covered five first-generation Arc A-series cards. The A380 models each listed 6GB of memory; the A310 WindForce listed 4GB.

These are the five models named in the 2022 filing reports; the listing itself does not establish current stock, regional availability, or prices.
What does the Gaming OC model number mean?
The filing report identifies the Gigabyte Arc A380 Gaming OC 6GB as GV-IA380GAMING OC-6GD. In the listed name, A380 identifies the GPU tier, Gaming OC identifies the cooler family and factory-overclocked variant, and 6GB is the memory capacity. The corresponding non-OC Gaming card is GV-IA380GAMING-6GD.

How does the 2022 launch compare with Intel’s later B-series partner cards?
Gigabyte’s filing concerned entry-level Arc A380 and A310 A-series cards; it did not list a Gigabyte A700-series model. Intel’s later Arc B-series announcement described a different generation, based on Xe2, and named Acer, ASRock, GUNNIR, ONIX, MAXSUN, and Sparkle as add-in-board partners. Gigabyte is not among the partners named in that announcement.
| Card | Memory | Launch price and availability stated by Intel |
|---|---|---|
| Arc B580 | 12GB | $249; available starting December 13, 2024 |
| Arc B570 | 10GB | $219 starting price; partner-card availability starting January 16, 2025 |
These are Intel’s stated launch details in its December 3, 2024 B-series announcement, not current retail prices or a statement of present-day availability.

What to check before buying a listed Gigabyte card
- Match the full model code, especially the OC suffix and memory figure, rather than relying on “Gigabyte Arc A380” alone.
- Check current retailer listings for stock, price, and the card’s availability in your region; the 2022 filing does not confirm present availability.
- Distinguish the A310 WindForce 4GB from the A380 WindForce 6GB; the shared cooler-family name does not make them the same GPU.
