At Embedded World 2026 in Nuremberg, DEEPX presented two edge-AI products and demonstrations with more than 10 global partners, spanning factory automation, traffic analysis, robotics, smart cities and video management. Avnet Silica was the named European distribution route; DEEPX also said Avnet had identified more than 30 prospective customers in high-performance embedded markets.
What DEEPX showed at Embedded World 2026
Embedded World ran from 10–12 March 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany. DEEPX exhibited at its own booth while demonstrations ran simultaneously at more than 10 partner booths. The emphasis was on combining DEEPX inference hardware with other companies’ boards, systems and software, rather than presenting only a standalone chip.
DEEPX described the strategy as a push into European “physical AI” applications: AI operating in or alongside physical systems. Its target areas included robotics, drones, factory automation, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), machine vision and smart-city infrastructure. The demonstrations also covered traffic analysis, logistics, security and intelligent video management.
DX-M1M and DX-AIPlayer: what is the difference?
The two products address different integration needs. DX-M1M is a module for adding inference to an existing compatible system; DX-AIPlayer combines an NPU and CPU board into a more integrated development-to-deployment setup.

#1 Best Overall
- Dual-Brain Hybrid Power: Combines the Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 MPU (Quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 @ 2.0 GHz CPU, Adreno GPU, AI acceleration) and the real-time, low-power STM32U585 MCU for advanced applications like object recognition, voice commands, and motion detection.
- AI & Linux Capabilities: Unlocks AI-powered vision and sound solutions; runs Linux Debian OS for coding in Python and supports the Arduino ecosystem with libraries and Sketches; quick start with Arduino App Lab.
- Advanced Features: Equipped with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32 GB eMMC built-in storage, ideal for single-board computer (SBC) mode, running multiple simultaneous high-level processes, more complex AI or ML models, extensive logs. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and high-speed headers for vision, audio, and display peripherals.
- Seamless Expansion & Connectivity: Features the classic UNO form factor for shields compatibility, an 8x13 LED matrix, and a Qwiic connector for easy expansion with Modulino nodes; power and connect via the USB-C connector.
- Intended Use & Development: The perfect platform for prototyping robotics or IoT projects, empowering innovators with a unified development experience to mix Arduino Sketches, Python scripts, and containerized AI models in a single interface.
| Product | Form factor | Intended deployment | Integration approach |
|---|---|---|---|
| DX-M1M | Standard M.2 module containing the DX-M1 AI chip | Adding AI inference to industrial PCs and edge-server slots | Use an existing host system with a compatible M.2 slot; host compatibility and software requirements should be confirmed for the specific system. |
| DX-AIPlayer | Integrated solution combining a DEEPX NPU with a high-efficiency CPU board | A workflow DEEPX positions for model development through industrial deployment | Provides a more integrated hardware environment; the announcement does not specify the exact development tools, supported models or deployment configuration. |
The practical choice is therefore about system design, not an established speed or cost ranking: DX-M1M is aimed at reusing a host, while DX-AIPlayer combines compute components in one solution. DEEPX did not publish a price, TOPS rating, latency, power draw or independent benchmark result in the sources describing the event, so the products cannot be meaningfully ranked on those measures from the announced information.

What was Avnet Silica’s role, and how can European customers source DEEPX hardware?
DEEPX said it had signed a distribution agreement with Avnet Silica in 2025 and described Avnet Silica as expanding adoption of DEEPX products in European embedded sectors, including smart-city infrastructure, AMRs, machine vision and smart factories. DEEPX also reported that Avnet Silica had identified more than 30 customers in high-performance embedded markets. That figure is a DEEPX-reported customer-prospect claim, not an independently audited market statistic.
