If opened, it is expected to close the final gap in the 13.5-kilometre Green Corridor route from IIM Road to Samta Mulak. The junction near Teele Wali Masjid may still constrain traffic: the intersection plan was pending parallel bridge approach work, and a boundary wall narrowed the space available for the road.
What is the final Green Corridor link?
Hindustan Times reported on October 3, 2026, that the last major Phase 2 component was a railway overbridge connecting Daliganj with Pucca Pul near Teele Wali Masjid. The paper described the bridge as nearly one kilometre long and almost ready. It said opening the bridge was expected to make the IIM Road–Samta Mulak stretch, reported as 13.5 kilometres, continuous. The report described other major Phase 2 elements—the Mankameshwar Road–Suraj Kund Park bridge and two elevated rotaries—as completed and inaugurated. It put the Phase 2 project cost at around ₹209 crore, also a figure reported by Hindustan Times rather than an independently cited project record. Hindustan Times report on Phase 2.
When will the bridge and corridor open?
The October 3 report characterized the railway overbridge as almost ready, but did not establish an opening date. It also does not confirm that the bridge subsequently opened. Treat continuity of the full IIM Road–Samta Mulak stretch as an expected outcome, not a verified current condition. The reported status alone is not enough to determine when the route will be open to traffic.

Why could Pucca Pul remain a bottleneck?
The junction plan depends on parallel bridge work
The LDA had reportedly prepared an intersection arrangement near Teele Wali Masjid and Pucca Pul. Its intended movements would let IIM Road traffic turn toward Sitapur Road while traffic for Old Lucknow and Daliganj continued along the corridor. The authority had not implemented the arrangement while the Bridge Corporation built a parallel bridge. Soil filling and other approach-road work were still needed, according to the report. Traffic routing may change when the new bridge is in use
Officials expected traffic flows to change with the new bridge. The report said the heritage Pucca Pul was expected to face vehicle restrictions, with traffic shifted to the new bridge, and that the LDA wanted the junction design to account for this arrangement. It did not confirm that restrictions had taken effect or give a date for them. Until the bridge and junction works are in service, the final traffic pattern remains unsettled.

The boundary wall limits available road width
A boundary wall extended into the available road space. Officials said moving it inward by a few inches would make the intended alignment possible and feared congestion if the reduced width remained. The report does not establish that the wall was moved or that the road was widened. Hindustan Times report on the boundary wall.

- Not established: The bridge’s actual opening date or subsequent opening, the final traffic restrictions at heritage Pucca Pul, the parallel bridge’s completion schedule, and whether the boundary wall was moved.
