Signal Veil is a third-person survival-horror game announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Serafini Productions announced the game on October 1, 2026, but no release date has been announced.
What is Signal Veil?
Signal Veil is presented as a classic third-person survival-horror game built around psychological terror and emotional storytelling, with an aesthetic inspired by 1990s anime. The story follows teenager Aki Mizuno after her mother disappears. A cellphone left behind by her mother has supernatural abilities, drawing Aki into an investigation of disappearances and a mystery about herself at Nishikawa High School.

The PlayStation Store identifies Serafini Productions as publisher. Steam search-result information lists Time Hunters and Serafini Productions as developers, with Serafini Productions also as publisher; Gematsu’s game database lists Time Hunters as developer. Platforms and release timing
The announced platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The PC release is planned for Steam and the Epic Games Store. Gematsu reported the platform list on October 1, 2026; the official PlayStation Store listing reviewed afterward still gave the release date as “to be determined.” No release window, price, preorder details, or physical edition is established in the available listings.

How the supernatural cellphone works
Aki’s phone is a fictional tool in the game, not a real-world device recommendation. According to the publisher’s description, it reacts to spiritual presences and lingering memories through vibration, unusual sounds, and screen interference. It can detect enemies before they fully appear, identify corrupted areas, and reveal clues or signals that ordinary sight cannot pick up.
The phone also factors into encounters. The publisher says hostile entities can only be fought after exposure: Aki can disturb them with the phone’s flash, provoke them into appearing, or expose spiritual weak points. The description frames these encounters as tests of observation, timing, and resource management rather than relying on force alone.

Survival and psychological-horror systems
The publisher describes medicine, key items, and mystical weapons as limited resources, making careful use part of survival. Aki’s worsening emotional state is also said to distort her perception of reality, changing the environment and enemy behavior. These are announced features described by the publisher, not independently verified gameplay findings.
