What is the last date to pay the second Hajj instalment?
HCoI’s Guidelines for Haj 2027 (1448 Hijri) set out two instalments for the balance after the advance Haj amount. The first balance instalment is Rs. 1,25,000, due when the first waitlist is released. The remaining balance is tentatively due by 31 December 2026. HCoI says it will communicate payment timelines and dates; follow the applicable circular rather than treating the tentative date as a substitute for an account-specific instruction.
Will a missed payment cancel the Haj seat?
HCoI warns that failure to pay by the due date may lead to cancellation of the Haj seat. Its guidelines also say selection is cancelled if an applicant does not provide required documents or payment by the deadline. Since the final due date is communicated by HCoI, contact the relevant official committee promptly if you may miss a payment or are unsure whether it has been recorded.
Payment alone does not guarantee a seat. HCoI says misleading, false or incomplete information or documents can result in cancellation at any stage, including at embarkation. The guidelines allow cancellation on the grounds of the pilgrim’s death or serious ailment; other cancellations may be penalised.

How much is the second instalment?
Rs. 1,25,000 is the first balance instalment, not the second instalment or the total cost of Haj. The remaining balance is payable later, but the cited guidelines do not state its final amount. HCoI says it will communicate an estimate for Saudi arrangements in due course, and an increase in exchange rates may result in an additional charge. Check official notices for the amount applicable to you.

- Pay online through the HCoI website or Haj Suvidha app using a credit card, debit card or net banking.
- Deposit at a State Bank of India or Union Bank of India branch using the pilgrim’s assigned bank reference number.
Use the payment instructions and reference details issued for your application, and confirm your payment status through HCoI or your State/UT Haj Committee.

This deadline applies to Indian pilgrims under HCoI’s Haj 2027 (1448 AH) programme; it is not a universal deadline for all pilgrims. Saudi Nusuk’s booking windows and payment rules for domestic pilgrims in 1447 AH concern a separate programme and season, and should not be used to infer HCoI’s 2027 instalment dates. HCoI also says it does not authorise private individuals, agencies or associations to act on its behalf. Do not pay someone claiming HCoI affiliation; use official HCoI or State/UT committee channels.
