The Fire-Boltt Boltt Evo is a basic-use 4G phone, not a 5G handset. Ashish Kumar’s 91mobiles review, published 1 October 2026, reports a launch starting price of Rs 10,999 and gives it 7.8/10. Its smooth 120Hz display and relatively clean Android 16 software are appealing, but the reviewer also found stuttering, inconsistent rear-camera results, a heavy build and slow charging. Consider it only if those trade-offs suit your needs and the price still makes sense where you shop.
Should you buy the Boltt Evo?
The Boltt Evo may suit someone who mainly calls, messages, streams video and uses social apps, and who values a high-refresh-rate display more than speed or camera quality. It is a poor fit if you want 5G, dependable rear-camera photos, responsive multitasking, a light phone or quick charging.
Those judgments reflect the use and measurements reported by Ashish Kumar in the 91mobiles review; they have not been independently replicated here. The review describes the Evo as Fire-Boltt’s first smartphone-market entry.

How well does it perform?
The Unisoc T7250 is adequate for simple everyday tasks in the reviewer’s experience, but the Evo is not a strong choice for heavy multitasking or demanding apps. Kumar reported stutter and app launches taking a little over a second. He considered calls, messages, streaming and social media reasonable use cases, with background multitasking more limited.
In the same 91mobiles review, the Boltt Evo scored 495,830 in AnTuTu, 440 in Geekbench single-core and 1,479 in Geekbench multi-core. These are the review’s reported results; the article does not identify a separate publisher for those test figures.

- Compared with the another 2.86" screen 4G smartwatch DM100, the 2.4" screen of this watch is relatively small but larger than other smart watches. Not only suitable for men, but also for women. Is the 120Hz display a real advantage?
It can be. Kumar found the interface and selected apps looked smooth at the 120Hz setting, making the display the phone’s clearest appeal. The panel is HD+ LCD rather than a higher-resolution screen, and the review says users can also select 90Hz. A high refresh rate improves perceived motion smoothness; it does not make the processor faster or remove the stutters reported in the review.
How good are the cameras?
The rear cameras are the main compromise. The reviewer found their photos oversaturated, soft on detail and inconsistent in exposure. In low light, images showed flare and noise, so the rear setup is not a reliable pick if camera results are a priority.

The 8MP front camera performed more dependably in good light in Kumar’s assessment. That makes it the more promising option for daylight selfies and video calls, but the review does not establish comparable performance in poor lighting.
How long does the battery last, and how quickly does it charge?
The 91mobiles review lists a 6,000mAh battery but reports 10.7 hours in its PCMark battery test, which it describes as running from 100% down to 20%. That is a result from the review’s particular test, not a guaranteed number of hours for ordinary use. Kumar also observed a 24% battery reduction during one hour of video streaming and gaming.

| Phone | Price context in the 91mobiles review | Network and review comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Fire-Boltt Boltt Evo | Starting launch price reported as Rs 10,999 in India | 4G; reviewer’s main concerns were stutter, rear-camera shortcomings, weight and slow charging |
| Lava Virat V1 5G | About Rs 2,000 more than the Boltt Evo’s reported starting launch price, according to the review | 5G; the review says it compares favourably on performance and several camera scenarios. Its PCMark battery comparison lists 21.5 hours using the review’s test. |
| Fire-Boltt Boltt Ace | Not stated in the review | The review names it as an alternative but does not provide a complete comparison here. |
Before choosing among them, compare the actual current prices and storage variants, network support, chipset performance, camera samples, display refresh rate, software support, battery-test conditions, charging time and weight. The review’s launch-price comparison does not establish what any model costs today.
What is the final verdict?
The Boltt Evo is a limited but understandable first phone from Fire-Boltt: its 120Hz screen and near-stock Android 16 experience give it a reason to be considered for basic use. The reviewer’s reported stutter, weak rear-camera results, more-than-three-hour charge and weight above 230g are substantial compromises. At the review’s reported Rs 10,999 starting launch price, it is worth considering only if the screen and simple software matter more to you than speed, cameras, 5G or convenience.
