How do I redeem an Apple Gift Card on my iPhone or iPad?

- Open the App Store.
- Tap the account button, your photo, or your initials.
- Tap Redeem Gift Card or Code. Depending on the interface, the option may appear as Redeem Code.
- Sign in to your Apple Account if prompted.
- To scan the code, tap Use Camera and follow the prompts. To type it instead, tap Enter Code Manually.
- Tap Redeem.
The amount is added to your Apple Account balance. Apple says that balance can pay for apps, games, in-app purchases, and subscriptions such as Apple Music and iCloud+. Some purchases may still require a credit card on file.
Can I redeem a gift card in Wallet?
On supported iPhones, Wallet offers another route: add an Apple Account card to Wallet, open Wallet, tap Apple Account, tap More, then tap Redeem. Scan the code or enter it manually. Where do I enter an app promo code?
Start in the App Store account page: tap your account icon, photo, or initials, then choose Redeem Gift Card or Code or Redeem Code. If the developer gave you a redemption link, tapping it may open the relevant redemption flow. If the app supports StoreKit offer-code redemption, you may be able to enter the code in an in-app redemption sheet. Labels and prompts can differ by iOS or iPadOS version and by how the developer implemented redemption.
App promo codes
An app promo code is issued by a developer and can provide a free copy of an iOS, macOS, or tvOS app; it does not add money to your Apple Account. In-app purchase offer codes
An in-app purchase offer code can provide a discount or free access for a configured period. Depending on the developer’s setup, it may apply to consumables, non-consumables, non-renewing subscriptions, or auto-renewable subscriptions. Customers can redeem through the App Store, a developer-provided redemption URL, or an in-app StoreKit redemption sheet if the app supports it. Apple Developer: Offer codes overview
Developers configure who can use an offer and may limit its availability, so a code can be restricted to a particular customer group. Apple documents a maximum of 1,000,000 offer-code redemptions per app per quarter. Apple Developer: Set up offer codes

Why can’t I find “Redeem Gift Card or Code” or redeem my code?
- The redeem option is missing: Sign in to your Apple Account, then check whether the card is supported in the App Store region associated with your account.
- The camera won’t scan the code: Choose Enter Code Manually and check each character carefully.
- An app promo or offer code is rejected: It may be expired, already used, limited to a different eligibility group, or for an app unavailable in your storefront. Developers control offer eligibility and configuration, as described in Apple’s offer-code setup documentation.
- The code opens the wrong place: Use the App Store account page for a standard redemption attempt. If the developer supplied a redemption URL or the app supports an in-app offer sheet, use that route for the developer’s offer.
