It also identified Disney+/Hulu as a contender with broad appeal and described Paramount+ as lacking major movie franchises. “Best” can mean a deep selection in your favorite genre, films you already know you want to watch, or enough variety to find something new. A service’s brand or studio connections alone do not tell you which movies are currently included in its streaming subscription.
What Paramount+ offers movie fans
Paramount+ organizes movies into categories including New & Popular, Kids & Family, Action & Adventure, Comedy, Documentary, Drama, Horror, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Thriller, and Showtime. Studio catalogs provide useful clues about the kinds of films associated with a company, but they are not live availability lists. The Associated Press names Top Gun, Titanic, and The Godfather as titles in Paramount’s catalog; it also names Warner titles including Harry Potter, Sinners, Barbie, and Superman. Rather than choosing by reputation or a headline ranking, compare the services against a short personal watchlist. These questions help distinguish a good match from a large-sounding catalog:

- Are your specific titles included? Check whether a movie is part of the subscription or only available to rent or buy, or through an add-on.
- Do the services fit your interests? Compare the genres, age ratings, and audiences you care about. Paramount+ lists categories from family films to horror and thrillers; JustWatch provides genre and rating filters for its tracked services.
- Do you want breadth or particular franchises? A service may suit you because it has the films you intend to watch, even if another service has a broader overall selection.
- Is the listing current for your country? Streaming availability changes, and a title associated with a studio is not necessarily available on the studio’s streaming service.
How to check where a movie is streaming
- Write down five to ten movies or franchises you want to watch.
- Search for them in a current availability guide, such as JustWatch’s U.S. movie guide. It lets you filter by streaming service and, on its U.S. movie page, by genre, rating, release year, production country, runtime, and age rating.
- For each match, check whether the listing is for subscription streaming or for a rental, purchase, or add-on. Confirm the offer before subscribing or renewing.
- Compare the number of watchlist matches on the services available in your country, then consider whether their other categories fit your tastes.
JustWatch’s cited page is U.S.-specific. Use an availability guide for your own country where possible, and check listings close to the time you plan to watch; a past listing or a studio catalog example cannot establish current availability.
Why library-size and exclusivity figures can mislead
There is no established, comparable current count of movie titles across all the services and regions in this comparison. A figure about exclusivity does not fill that gap: it measures a different thing from either a service’s movie count or the quality of its films.

A July 2025 Movistar Plus press-roundup PDF reproduces Gracenote Data Hub figures for 2024: 73.5% of Netflix library titles, 75.7% of Disney+ library titles, 91.1% of Prime Video library titles, and 62.5% of Paramount+ library titles were exclusive to those respective services. These percentages cover library titles, not movies alone, and are a secondary reproduction of the figures. They should not be read as a ranking of movie-library size or quality.
