To find out whether a CrowdStrike or Tenable product is affected—and what fixes it—use the vendor’s current security advisory for the exact product, platform, and installed version. Advisory details can change, and a fix for one operating system or release does not necessarily apply to another. The examples below show how to read the notices without treating them as a complete list of current vulnerabilities.
Where to find CrowdStrike and Tenable vulnerability advisories
Tenable
Start at Tenable’s official Product Security Advisories index. It lists notices with publication dates, advisory IDs, titles, and severities, and lets readers find vulnerabilities in Tenable products. Open the individual notice for its affected versions, CVEs, and remediation instructions; the index alone may not contain enough detail to determine whether a particular installation needs an update.
Tenable advises customers to apply relevant patches or upgrades in a timely way. That is the vendor’s recommendation, not an independent measure of how quickly vulnerabilities are fixed.
CrowdStrike
Use CrowdStrike’s security advisory for the specific CVE and product. Check that the notice applies to the product and operating system you run, then use its current fixed-version and deployment instructions. The CrowdStrike examples discussed here establish selected affected product areas, but do not provide all current remediation versions.

What the advisories say about selected vulnerabilities
These notices illustrate different advisory patterns: a product release affected by multiple issues, a vulnerability in an embedded component, and operating-system-specific Falcon Sensor scope.
| Notice | Affected product or versions | Issue and remediation information |
|---|---|---|
| Tenable TNS-2026-24, August 2026 | Security Center 6.6.0, 6.7.2, and 6.8.0 | Critical advisory covering multiple resolved issues, including CVE-2026-19626, a remote code execution issue rated CVSS v3 9.9. Tenable says standalone Security Patch SC-202608.1 is available and that Security Center 6.9.0 had already addressed the vulnerabilities. |
| Tenable TNS-2026-10, April 2026 | Security Center versions enumerated in the advisory | The notice concerns vulnerabilities in the embedded PostgreSQL component. Tenable says patch SC202604.1 updates PostgreSQL to 16.13. Check the advisory for the exact applicable Security Center releases. |
| CrowdStrike CVE-2026-40058 | Falcon Sensor for Windows | The indexed GitHub Advisory Database record says Mac, Linux, and Legacy Systems are not affected. The record excerpt does not establish the fixed version; consult CrowdStrike’s advisory for the current version-specific instruction. |
| CrowdStrike CVE-2025-1146 | Falcon Sensor for Linux, Falcon Kubernetes Admission Controller, and Falcon Container Sensor | A government security bulletin describing CrowdStrike’s advisory characterizes the TLS vulnerability as high severity. Use CrowdStrike’s notice for authoritative fixed versions and deployment guidance. |
The Tenable figures are issue-specific severity scores, not a rating of the overall security of Security Center. TNS-2026-24 also lists CVE-2026-19628 at CVSS v3 7.2; the score describes that individual vulnerability.

How to decide whether a notice applies to your installation
- Identify the exact product and platform. Distinguish, for example, Falcon Sensor for Windows from Falcon Sensor for Linux, and Security Center from another Tenable product.
- Compare your installed version with the affected scope. Match the full version shown in the advisory; do not assume a similar-looking release is included or excluded.
- Read the issue details and conditions. Record the CVE identifiers, severity and scoring version, and any configuration or exposure conditions the notice specifies.
- Find the stated fix or mitigation. Look for the fixed release, patch identifier, or interim mitigation. If a source record does not give a fixed version, do not infer one from the affected range—open the vendor’s live advisory.
- Check the notice date and revision. A newer revision may change affected-version scope or remediation details. Use the release instructions that match your installed version and current patch.
Why a product advisory may be about a component
A vendor advisory can cover a third-party library included in its product, not only code written by the vendor. TNS-2026-10 is an example: Tenable identifies PostgreSQL vulnerabilities and says its Security Center patch updates that component to version 16.13. In such cases, follow the vendor product advisory to determine which product releases need the component update rather than assuming that installing or updating the library separately is the prescribed fix.
How to apply a Tenable Security Center patch safely
Tenable’s 2025 Security Center release notes describe downloading and applying patches at the system command line. The exact steps depend on the installed release and patch. Use the instructions for that version rather than copying a command from another release; the advisory or matching release notes should identify the applicable patch and procedure.

- Confirm the Security Center release and patch named in the current advisory.
- Use the corresponding Tenable installation instructions and verify the patch completed as directed there.
- After patching, confirm the installed release or component version using the product’s documented method.
Do not treat the existence of a patch as confirmation that a system has received it. The advisory identifies the remediation; the administrator still needs to apply it according to the product-specific instructions.

Tenable maintains a central index intended for browsing its product advisories, while the CrowdStrike examples show why checking the exact operating-system and product scope matters. The notices above are representative, not a complete catalogue. Because advisory entries and version guidance can change, check the current vendor notice before making a remediation decision.
