OMRON announced the Bengaluru Automation Center on October 7, 2025. Located at Manyata Embassy Business Park in Nagavara, the facility offers manufacturers hands-on demonstrations, proof-of-concept work, technical training and opportunities to collaborate with OMRON specialists on automation.

What is OMRON’s new center in India?

The new facility is the Bengaluru Automation Center, announced by OMRON on October 7, 2025. The company describes it as a center for advancing smart manufacturing, developing automation skills and supporting India–Japan industrial collaboration. OMRON’s announcement frames the initiative as part of building a resilient, future-ready industrial ecosystem in India.

Where is the Bengaluru Automation Center?

OMRON India lists the address as Ground Floor, L3 Block-Hazel, Manyata Embassy Business Park, Outer Ring Road, Nagavara, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560045. The OMRON India Automation Center page describes the facility and its offerings.

What can companies do at the center?

The Bengaluru center is designed for practical exploration of automation rather than product viewing alone. Companies can see live demonstrations and work with OMRON specialists on proof-of-concept solutions aimed at manufacturing challenges.

Explore automation technologies

Demonstrations and solutions cover sensing, robotics, artificial intelligence and machine vision. These technologies can be considered in relation to manufacturing needs such as productivity, quality and safety.

Develop skills and test ideas

OMRON says the center provides technical training, skill development and co-creation opportunities with its specialists. A manufacturer can use those interactions to explore a possible application and assess a proof of concept; the announcement does not specify a public course schedule, eligibility rules or booking process.

Is this OMRON’s first automation center in India?

No. OMRON opened its first Indian Automation Center in Mumbai on April 22, 2014. At the time, the company described the Mumbai facility as its fifth Automation Center worldwide. The Bengaluru opening expands an existing Indian network rather than establishing OMRON’s first local automation facility. OMRON’s 2014 release details the Mumbai opening.

How the Mumbai center differed

The 2014 Mumbai center showcased OMRON’s sensing-and-control expertise through machine and laboratory demonstrations. Its listed areas included the SYSMAC platform, vision-inspection, robotics and machine-safety solutions. Demonstrations included delta and SCARA robots, bottle-filling equipment and vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machines for packaging and material handling. This provides a historical reference point; it does not establish that every Mumbai demonstration or technology is also present in Bengaluru.

How does the Bengaluru center fit OMRON’s Indian network?

OMRON India’s Automation Center page also lists a Pune automated-optical-inspection lab and innovation labs in Gurgaon and Chennai, alongside the Bengaluru ATC. OMRON’s global directory identifies an Indian management center in Gurgaon and an industrial-automation office in Mumbai. The listed locations indicate a broader operating presence, but the available descriptions do not give a like-for-like account of each facility’s audience, activities or technologies.
