On February 5, 2016, ARCO, Inc. and ADATA Technology announced a global distribution alliance for ADATA’s Industrial Solution. The pact covered ADATA solid-state drives, industrial DRAM modules, and card and embedded products, alongside ARCO’s broader memory portfolio. Its stated aim was to help industrial and server customers source technology for new designs while supporting legacy products across their life cycles.
What was the ARCO–ADATA global pact?
It was a global distribution relationship announced by ARCO, Inc. and ADATA Technology on February 5, 2016. The announcement presented the alliance as a way to make ADATA’s industrial products available to customers through ARCO and to combine the companies’ memory and storage offerings for industrial and server markets. EE Times reported the announcement.
The announcement described ADATA Technology as headquartered in Taiwan and known for DRAM modules, USB flash drives, memory cards, solid-state drives, and portable hard drives. It described ARCO as part of the ARCOTEK group and as having specialized in memory solutions since 1994. Those descriptions reflect the 2016 announcement, not verified current company profiles.
Which products did the alliance cover?
| Company | Products named in the announcement | Role in the combined offering |
|---|---|---|
| ADATA Technology | Solid-state drives, industrial DRAM modules, and card and embedded products | ADATA’s Industrial Solution product categories for distribution |
| ARCO, Inc. | DRAM, NAND Flash, NOR Flash, and EEPROM memory solutions | A broader memory portfolio complementing ADATA’s named products |
The announcement positioned these categories as relevant to industrial and server customers. It did not identify particular model numbers, interfaces, capacities, endurance ratings, or environmental qualifications.

- Miniature SSD in microSD Form – Delivers near-SSD performance in a compact 15 × 11 × 1 mm package, making it suitable for smartphones, drones, VR devices, action cams, and smart home gear
- Built to Last – Backed by a lifetime warranty, plus SD Association certification and robust design for secure, dependable long-term use
Did ARCO distribute ADATA industrial SSDs?
Solid-state drives were explicitly included among ADATA’s named product categories in the alliance announcement. That supports saying the pact covered ADATA industrial SSDs at the category level; it does not establish which models were available through ARCO, in which markets or at what time. The announcement does not provide current inventory or specifications.
How was the alliance meant to support new and legacy designs?
The stated customer value was access to technology for new designs as well as long-term support for legacy products. The companies framed the combined portfolio as serving customers who needed innovative components while managing the life cycle of industrial and server systems. The announcement expressed that goal, but it did not set out specific availability periods, supply guarantees, or support terms.
