The priced configuration is reported to include 192GB of memory and 2TB of storage. The live listing does not establish when the displayed price will end, when orders will ship, or whether stock is guaranteed.
What the $7,399 preorder price includes
The offer is for the MINISFORUM MS-S1 MAX-P495, a compact workstation built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495. TechRadar reports that the configuration at the displayed $7,399 price pairs 192GB of memory with 2TB of storage. The $9,249 figure is shown by MINISFORUM’s store as a comparison price; it should not be read as proof of a future price or a guaranteed saving after the listing changes.
MINISFORUM’s official store listing showed both prices on October 3, 2026. Although TechRadar described the price as a limited promotion, the available listing and announcement do not give a promotion end date, shipping date, or regional eligibility terms. What MINISFORUM and AMD say about the hardware
MINISFORUM announced the MS-S1 MAX-P495 on September 4, 2026. Its IFA announcement describes up to 192GB of memory running at 8533 MT/s, up to 160GB of graphics memory, and performance of up to 131 TOPS. The company positions the system for local AI inference and development, real-time AI applications, engineering, and other compute-intensive work. These are manufacturer specifications and intended-use claims, not independent test results.

AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 specification page identifies a Zen 5 processor with 16 cores and 32 threads, boost speeds up to 5.2 GHz, Radeon 8065S graphics with 40 graphics compute units, and a configurable TDP range of 45–120W. AMD lists support for Windows 11 64-bit, RHEL x86 64-bit, and Ubuntu x86 64-bit. Operating-system support does not, by itself, establish compatibility with every application or AI framework.
How to interpret the AI performance claims
The store’s “up to 131 TOPS” figure is a peak vendor claim, not a prediction of performance in a particular model or application. AMD cautions that TOPS figures represent maximum operations per second under optimal conditions and can vary with system configuration, AI model, and software version. There are no independent performance tests of this exact workstation in the cited material.

AMD also discusses running models with 300 billion or more parameters locally, but that statement is conditional: AMD’s footnote dated May 11, 2026 says up to 160GB of dedicated graphics memory can support models of that size at 4-bit quantization. It does not guarantee that every such model will run at a useful speed, fit alongside other workloads, or work with a buyer’s chosen software. MINISFORUM’s announcement separately claims up to 160GB of graphics memory for the system; actual workload results will depend on configuration and software.
