How to get an ordinary Bounty Hunter Sprite

Enter a Battle Royale or Zero Build match where Sprites are enabled. Sprites are unavailable in competitive modes, according to Epic Games Support.

Eliminate opponents and watch for a Sprite to appear. Epic’s v42.20 wording, quoted by Sprite Checklist, says Bounty Hunter Sprites have a chance to appear when you eliminate opponents. It does not give a percentage.

Pick up the Sprite and bank or extract it before the match ends. Finding or equipping one during a match is not the same as saving it to your persistent collection. If its carrier is eliminated before banking it, Epic says the Sprite remains on the battlefield for another player to pick up.

There is no established location to visit or guaranteed elimination count that will produce a Bounty Hunter Sprite. Keep playing and eliminating opponents; the drop is random.
What the Bounty Hunter variant does
Bounty Hunter is a variant available for multiple Sprite identities, not one single Sprite. Its defining perk is a chance to find Sprites when eliminating opponents. Ordinary Bounty Hunter forms gain Sprite XP from eliminations, as described by Sprite Checklist and Beebom.
Crown has a separate unlock route
Do not use the ordinary drop instructions for Bounty Hunter Crown. Sprite Checklist reports that Crown is awarded automatically for winning a match with Loot Hacker Crown equipped. This is a tracker-reported special mastery unlock, not a general acquisition rule; if it does not appear, check the current in-game collection and event details.
Are chests, Cheat Codes, or trading reliable alternatives?
Some guides list Rare Chests, Cheat Codes, and trading with friends as ways to obtain Bounty Hunter forms. Beebom, for example, gives location-specific Cheat Code suggestions for individual Sprite identities. However, Sprite Checklist says Epic has not confirmed chests, Cheat Codes, or trading as Bounty Hunter acquisition routes. Treat them as community-reported possibilities, not guaranteed or official methods, and verify current behavior in the game. For a dependable plan, use eliminations.

Drop rate, availability, and rotating events
There is no verified Bounty Hunter drop percentage. Beebom and iGeeksBlog have reported a 7% chance, but the reviewed guides do not provide an official basis for that figure, and Sprite Checklist says Epic has published no rate. Do not treat 7% as a confirmed statistic.
Availability can change with patches and events. In its October 1, 2026 update, Sprite Checklist reported the variant for released Season 4 Sprites, with Mega Man excluded; its listed release dates were September 17 for Crown, September 24 for most forms, and September 26 for Birthday. Beebom’s October 1 table still marked Birthday “TBA,” so the sources conflict on that form. Check your in-game collection rather than relying on a fixed variant count or those patch-specific dates.
Epic says Sprite events can rotate weekly: Monday events may boost Legendary and Mythic appearances, double Sprite leveling, and award double Sprite Dust from extractions; Thursdays may introduce a Sprite or variant; and Saturday Power Hours may offer a chance at a missing variant. Modifiers and available Sprites change, so check Epic’s current Sprite guidance and in-game event information before you plan a session.
