A Geekbench result uploaded on October 2, 2026, lists a Samsung system identified as samsung XE940XSA and running Android 17. The record may point to Samsung’s first Googlebook, but it is not a Samsung announcement: the device’s final name, storage, price and release date have not been confirmed.

What appeared on Geekbench?

The Geekbench 7.1.0 result is for Android AArch64 and records a system called samsung XE940XSA. It reports Android 17, 14.89 GB of memory and a 12-core CPU identified in the listing as QTI SCP_HAMOA. The listed cores are four at 3.42GHz and eight at 4.01GHz.

That is what the submitted record says, not a verified retail specification. SamMobile identifies Hamoa as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite and reports an Adreno X1-85 GPU. Android Central also reports Snapdragon X Elite and 16GB RAM, with the tip attributed to Abhishek Yadav on X via Android Headlines. The benchmark’s 14.89 GB figure is commonly rounded in coverage to 16GB; Samsung has not confirmed those specifications.

Is Samsung making a Googlebook?

The Geekbench sighting makes a Samsung Googlebook plausible, but the available evidence does not confirm that interpretation or a product launch. Google’s current Googlebook lineup names Acer Googlebook 14, ASUS Googlebook 14, XPS Googlebook, HP Googlebook 14 and Lenovo Googlebook 15; it does not list Samsung. SamMobile reports that Samsung’s launch timing is unknown.

Googlebook is described as a laptop category bringing Android, Chrome and Gemini together. ITPro’s overview identifies Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, Dell and HP in the first cohort. Google’s lineup page is the better source for the currently named products. An earlier One UI rumor, mentioned by Android Central, is not demonstrated by the benchmark: there is no confirmed Samsung interface or customization for this device.

What Google says the category is for

In a Tom’s Guide interview, Sameer Samat, Google’s president of the Android Ecosystem, described the aim as giving Android users a laptop that feels as premium and capable as a high-end smartphone. The interview discusses phone-to-laptop setup and continuity features, including moving apps and autofill information, as well as Gemini features. That is category context—not confirmation that a Samsung model will include any particular feature or One UI implementation.
