Nuance Audio Plus hearing glasses are the next generation of EssilorLuxottica’s open-ear assistive listening glasses, with new frame choices and a company-claimed battery runtime of about 10 hours under average product conditions. Nuance also says Plus improves amplification, speech clarity in noise, and the sound of the wearer’s own voice. Those are launch claims, not independently verified Plus test results.
What Nuance Audio Plus changes
EssilorLuxottica announced Nuance Audio Plus on September 24, 2026, positioning it for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss. The glasses integrate hearing assistance into eyewear rather than using conventional in-ear hearing aids.

Nuance describes the Plus generation as delivering stronger amplification, clearer hearing in noisy environments, and a more natural perception of the wearer’s own voice. The company has not published independent comparative measurements establishing how much these areas improved over the original glasses. No independent hands-on performance evaluation of Plus is established here.
Battery life: about 10 hours is the launch estimate
EssilorLuxottica’s September 2026 launch announcement estimates approximately 10 hours of battery life under average product conditions. Nuance’s U.S. product page calls the battery life “all day,” but that is the company’s marketing language, not a measured guarantee. Actual runtime may vary with use.

For context only, a May 2026 TechRadar review of the original Nuance Audio glasses said their advertised eight-hour runtime rang largely true in the reviewer’s testing, but was not enough for a full day. That review tested the original generation, not Plus, so it does not verify Plus’s runtime.
Nuance says Plus can be recharged using its Charging Pad at home or at a desk. The available product information does not establish whether the pad is included with every retail package.

Controls and phone-call compatibility
The glasses have a switch to turn hearing assistance on, and arm buttons for setting amplification from level 1 to 5. Nuance says folding the arms puts the glasses into sleep mode when the switch is left on.
Nuance specifies double-tap controls for answering or ending voice calls when the glasses are used with an iPhone running iOS 16 or later. The stated compatibility does not establish that these call controls work with all phones.
