Facer has redesigned its watch-face storefront to make faces, creators, and community Looks easier to discover. The update adds themed destinations across the service; it does not introduce a new smartwatch operating system. Facer also announced a Timex collection for Fall 2026, alongside upcoming Angry Birds and Sonic content. The Timex collection is forthcoming, with no exact release day announced.
What changed in Facer’s storefront?
Announced on September 29, 2026, the redesign organizes watch faces and creators into curated sections: For You, Entertainment, Watch Brands, Facer Originals, Health & Fitness, and Sports. Community-made Looks also have a more prominent role in discovery. Facer says the storefront serves Apple Watch, Wear OS, and other smartwatches compatible with its service. The update is a catalog and discovery change, not a new watch operating system. Facer’s storefront announcement describes the new destinations and previews the incoming collections.
Which new collections are coming to Facer?
Timex
Facer announced its Timex partnership on September 29, 2026. The forthcoming collection draws on designs including Marlin, Expedition, and T80, and is planned for Fall 2026 on smartwatches supported by Facer. The company has not given an exact launch date, so the collection should not be treated as already available. Facer CEO Ariel Vardi said the partnership aims to bring the brand’s designs to smartwatches while staying true to the styles that made Timex well known. The partnership announcement includes the collection details and Vardi’s statement.
Angry Birds and Sonic
The storefront announcement also previewed an upcoming Angry Birds collection and said a Sonic collection was in production. It did not give launch dates for either.

Will the new storefront and faces work on your watch?
Facer says its storefront covers Apple Watch, Wear OS, and other watches compatible with the service, but that does not mean every face works on every model. Check Facer’s compatibility list for your exact watch and software version; the list was updated September 2, 2026. It identifies selected Samsung Galaxy Watch and Google Pixel Watch models as supporting Wear OS 6 and marks some older devices as legacy, where updates may be limited.
Why are some Facer faces unavailable after a Wear OS 6 update?
Google’s updated Watch Face Format changes what a face can support. Facer says some older faces that use rich-format features, legacy complications, or interactive elements are not supported in the new format. Examples of data that may be affected include location, phone battery, and sunrise or sunset information. Creators may release converted versions, but Facer says migration of an older face is up to its creator, so not every legacy face will return.

Facer also reports that Wear OS 6 allows only one Facer watch face to be pushed to a watch at a time. That limit matters if you expect to install several Facer faces directly on the device. For current details on migration and purchases, see Facer’s Wear OS compatibility and purchases FAQ. Support behavior may change as Google and watch makers update their software.

- Exact device support: Confirm your watch model and software version in Facer’s compatibility list rather than relying only on the Wear OS name.
- Format and features: If you need a specific complication or interactive feature, check whether the face has a version converted for the current Wear OS Watch Face Format.
- Installation needs: If you want multiple Facer faces pushed to a Wear OS 6 watch at once, account for Facer’s stated one-face limit.
Facer separately reported in its January 7, 2026 CES announcement that its catalog contained more than 500,000 watch faces. That is a company-reported figure for the broader catalog at that time, not a count of faces supported on Wear OS 6 or included in the redesigned storefront. The CES announcement provides that background figure.
