Bitcoin has the clearer observable signal: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded substantial net inflows in September 2026, though those flows quickly reversed and do not prove what caused Bitcoin’s price moves. Remittix has a forward-looking launch story: an announcement dated October 1 scheduled the RTX token launch for November 24, 2026, and described a crypto-to-bank payments product still in development. The available evidence does not establish that Remittix has matched Bitcoin’s attention or that its payment service is live at scale.
What the recent Bitcoin ETF figures show
A secondary analysis published October 2, 2026, reproducing daily U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF figures from Farside Investors, reported nine consecutive net-inflow trading days from September 17 through September 29. The run was followed by an outflow, then a smaller inflow:
| Period or date | Reported net flow | Attribution |
|---|---|---|
| September 17–29, 2026 | $3,075.5 million in net inflows across nine consecutive trading days | Data Analytic Investments, reproducing Farside Investors’ daily series |
| September 30, 2026 | $148.7 million net outflow | Data Analytic Investments, reproducing Farside Investors |
| October 1, 2026 | $102.7 million net inflow | Data Analytic Investments, reproducing Farside Investors |
For the full month of September, that analysis cited approximately $2.65 billion in net inflows according to SoSoValue. It also reported cumulative net inflows since January 2024 of $57.667 billion from Farside Investors, compared with $57.58 billion from SoSoValue. These are provider-reported totals, not perfectly identical measures.
The sequence supports a claim that ETF demand was strong over part of September, not that inflows continued uninterrupted or that they caused a Bitcoin rally. Daily creations and redemptions can change direction, as the September 30 outflow illustrates.
#1 Best Overall
- BITCOIN EXCLUSIVE, PHONE VERIFICATION: Bitkey is designed from the ground up exclusively for bitcoin — a dedicated hardware wallet for secure bitcoin storage. Approve transactions with a tap using your phone and NFC. No device screen is required.
- SELF-CUSTODY, NO EXCHANGE OR CUSTODIAN REQUIRED: You hold two of the three keys in the Bitkey system – one on your phone and one on your Bitkey device. The third is stored on Bitkey’s server and cannot move your bitcoin on its own.
- NO SEED PHRASE: Set up and use Bitkey without creating or storing a seed phrase.
- 2-of-3 MULTISIG: Three keys are stored separately across your phone, Bitkey device, and Bitkey’s server. Any two keys are required to move your bitcoin.
- BUILT-IN RECOVERY: Encrypted backup and recovery tools can help you regain access if you lose your phone or Bitkey device. You can also designate a Recovery Contact.
What ETF flows can—and cannot—tell you
Net ETF flows summarize share creations and redemptions. They do not identify the investors behind those transactions, their motives, or whether they bought Bitcoin directly as well. A run of inflows can be one observable part of the market picture, but it does not establish price causality, predict future returns, or show that a rally will persist.
That distinction matters when comparing a market statistic with a launch narrative. ETF flows are recorded activity in existing funds. They are not a measure of public attention, and the figures above alone cannot settle whether Bitcoin or Remittix is receiving more attention.

What buying a Bitcoin ETF means
A spot Bitcoin exchange-traded product provides brokerage-based exposure through fund shares; it is not the same as holding Bitcoin directly. In a January 2024 launch announcement, Fidelity said FBTC sought to track Bitcoin and disclosed a 0.25% annual expense ratio at launch, waived for six months. That is historical launch pricing, not confirmation of the fund’s current fee. Fidelity also said shareholders would not receive Bitcoin redemption proceeds and would not have some protections associated with registered investment companies or CEA-regulated commodity pools. Its announcement warned of volatility, possible total loss, fraud, cybersecurity risks, and possible market manipulation. Check current fund documents for current terms.
Fund mechanics have changed over time. On July 29, 2025, the SEC announced approval of in-kind creations and redemptions by authorized participants for crypto ETP shares; previously approved spot Bitcoin and ether ETPs had been limited to in-cash processes. This is a change to how authorized participants can transact with funds, not evidence that demand guarantees price appreciation.

Do not confuse a spot fund with a leveraged product
Direxion’s BTCU is a leveraged product that targets 200% of Bitcoin’s daily price performance before fees and expenses, references IBIT, and uses derivatives. Direxion warns that leverage can magnify losses, that the fund is not equivalent to direct Bitcoin investment, and that an investor could lose the entire investment in a single day. It is not a plain spot Bitcoin ETF, and its daily target should not be read as a promise of twice Bitcoin’s return over longer periods.
What Remittix has announced
A GlobeNewswire-distributed announcement hosted on Fidelity’s news site and dated October 1, 2026, described Remittix as developing crypto-to-bank payment infrastructure. It said supported cryptocurrencies are intended to settle into compatible bank accounts and described a wallet, markets, and earn products. The announcement scheduled the RTX token launch for November 24, 2026—still a future date as of October 3, 2026—and said the project had passed $32 million in presale funding while progressing toward a $36 million hard cap.

The same announcement reported the following milestones and figures. They are claims made in a project-distributed announcement, not independently verified evidence of product performance or adoption:
| Project-reported item | What the announcement said | What that does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Token launch | RTX launch scheduled for November 24, 2026 | That the launch has occurred, that a listing is confirmed, or that the token will have a particular liquidity or market value |
| Presale | More than $32 million raised, with a $36 million hard cap in progress | Independent confirmation of the amount or evidence of product adoption |
| Payment product | Crypto-to-bank settlement planned for supported assets and compatible bank accounts | Which banks and countries are supported, whether service is currently available, or how reliably and quickly payments settle |
| Testing | Testing opened to an initial cohort of 1,000 users | Independent confirmation of the cohort, ongoing availability, or sustained usage |
| iOS wallet | More than 10,000 downloads | Verified active users, retained users, or completed payments |
| Markets platform | More than $50 million in perpetual-futures volume processed | Independent verification, the measurement period, or evidence of crypto-to-bank payment activity |
| Earn product | Yields of up to 22% APY advertised on selected holdings | The terms, risks, availability, or whether any particular user can obtain that yield |
Downloads, trading volume, a presale total, and an advertised yield describe different things. None, on its own, demonstrates that people are using Remittix for successful bank payments. The announcement does not independently establish live payment availability, bank coverage, settlement performance, or durable usage.

How the two stories compare
| Question | Bitcoin ETF narrative | Remittix PayFi launch narrative |
|---|---|---|
| What is observable? | Dated reports of fund share creations and redemptions, alongside market prices from specific publishers. | A project-distributed announcement, scheduled milestones, and reported product figures that require independent confirmation. |
| Time horizon | Current market activity that can reverse from one trading day to the next. | A future token launch and product plans whose delivery and usage remain to be demonstrated. |
| What the evidence does not prove | Investor motives, price causality, or future returns. | That a scheduled launch will happen as announced, or that reported milestones mean the payment service has reliable, lasting adoption. |
| What a reader would be accessing | Fund shares through an investment platform, with fund fees and the risks of the fund structure. | A token and proposed payment service whose availability, utility, liquidity, and regulatory treatment need separate assessment. |
What would make the PayFi claim more meaningful?
To judge whether Remittix is becoming a functioning payment service rather than primarily a launch story, look for independently checkable evidence tied to completed payments—not just promotional milestones. Useful indicators include:
- Named supported countries, banks, currencies, and eligible crypto assets, with clear availability terms.
- Documented settlement times and failure or refund handling, backed by independently verifiable transaction information.
- Evidence of repeat payment use over a stated period, rather than downloads or trading volume alone.
- Clear explanations of token utility, custody, fees, liquidity, and relevant regulatory status.
- Confirmation that the token launch and any claimed exchange access actually occur; an announced date is not a completed launch.
For Bitcoin, the comparable discipline is to track dated ETF-flow data alongside prices while keeping the measurements separate. The October figures establish a measurable but uneven fund-flow story. Remittix’s announcement establishes what the project says it plans and reports; it does not yet establish payment performance. On the evidence available as of October 3, 2026, the two narratives cannot be ranked as equivalent measures of attention or adoption.
