Available sources support its 850-lumen Color+White version and describe multi-color effects, music response, and adjustable white tones. They do not establish which feature the original reviewer called its “best trick,” so that claim cannot be responsibly identified here.
Which light is the headline about?
Syndicated MakeUseOf metadata identifies the product as the Linkind Smart Light Stick. Linkind’s catalog lists a “Smart Light Stick Color+White 850lm,” while a brand listing names a “Smart Light Stick T19 Color+White 850lm-1 Pack.” The available material does not establish that the original review evaluated that exact T19 variant.
What does the Linkind Smart Light Stick do?
A Yahoo Creators roundup published August 15, 2026 describes the stick as able to display multiple colors at once, respond to music, and produce a range of white color temperatures for everyday lighting. Those are reported capabilities, not independently verified test results. The roundup does not identify the specific effect that the MakeUseOf reviewer deemed the product’s standout trick.
How much does it cost?
Linkind’s catalog snapshot, accessed October 3, 2026, showed $32.99 for its Color+White 850lm product. Separately, the Yahoo Creators roundup reported a $33 Amazon price on August 15, 2026. These are dated observations, not a guarantee of today’s price or the exact variant currently sold.

Is it a Philips Hue replacement?
It is fair to call the Linkind stick a lower-priced alternative in the broad sense, but the available sources do not provide a like-for-like comparison with Philips Hue. They do not establish the Linkind model’s ecosystem or voice-assistant compatibility, setup requirements, or whether it needs a hub. Without those details or comparative testing, there is not enough evidence to say it matches Hue’s functionality or is the better buy.
What is known about the original review?
The syndicated MakeUseOf listing describes the evaluation as paid for by Linkind and says MakeUseOf retained complete editorial control. That is secondary reporting; the original article’s disclosure wording and its account of testing are not established by the available material. The sources also do not document the reviewer’s test conditions or a direct comparison with Hue.
