Breville’s Spiral Luxe Auto Pour-Over (model BPO830V1) combines a built-in grinder with an automated, moving spout designed to imitate a barista’s spiral pour. It aims to handle much of the routine while offering adjustments for brew strength and, in Advanced Mode, brew ratio, temperature, pours, and pauses. Breville’s US page listed it for $599.95 and marked it “Out of stock” on October 3, 2026; check the current product page for updated price and availability.
What is the Breville Spiral Luxe Auto Pour-Over?
The Spiral Luxe is Breville’s entry in the automatic pour-over category on its US site. Calling it the first automatic pour-over machine overall would be misleading: a Parade report published October 1, 2026 notes that it is not the first such machine. Breville’s category page lists the Spiral Luxe, but does not establish a category-wide first.
Breville describes a workflow in which the dripper moves beneath the built-in grinder to receive ground coffee, then shifts under the spout for brewing. The company says the articulating spout reproduces the spiral pouring motion used with a gooseneck kettle. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent findings about the machine’s results.
How does it automate brewing, and what can you adjust?
Breville presents the machine as a way to automate grinding, dosing, and pouring without removing all control from the user. Its product page describes these modes and adjustments:

These are advertised controls; they do not, by themselves, demonstrate brew quality or consistency. No independent hands-on test of the exact BPO830V1 was established for this article, so claims about taste, speed, noise, dose consistency, cleaning, or reliability remain unverified.
What are the size, capacity, and included accessories?
Breville lists a 20-ounce glass carafe and dimensions of 14.6 × 6.7 × 16.1 inches. The product page also says the drip tray can be removed to brew into taller mugs. Check the measurements against your counter and cabinet clearance before buying.

Listed accessories include 50 conical filter papers, a ClaroSwiss water filter and holder, a descaling sachet, a water-hardness test strip, a conical dripper, and a carafe lid. Breville says standard conical papers are compatible and replacement papers are sold separately, but does not establish a specific third-party paper size here; confirm fit before purchasing replacements. The company describes the dripper as BPA-free Tritan and says its BPA-free claim is based on independent laboratory testing of food-contact plastic materials under EU Commission Regulation No 10/2011.
What should you know about setup and care?
The US BPO830V1 manual instructs users to install filter paper and recommends cold, preferably filtered water. It warns against removing the carafe or dripper during brewing because of the risk of scalding. The manual states a two-year limited warranty; consult the complete terms applicable to your market and unit.

Is it a good fit for your coffee routine?
The central trade-off is convenience versus the hands-on control and simplicity of a conventional pour-over setup. The Spiral Luxe integrates a grinder and automates key steps, while still offering several advertised brew adjustments. Before deciding, consider:
- Workflow: Whether you want grinding and pouring handled in one appliance or prefer to grind and pour separately.
- Serving needs: Whether a 20-ounce carafe and the option to brew into a taller mug suit your usual servings.
- Control: Whether the advertised brew adjustments are enough for you, given that independent results have not been established here.
- Space and cost: Whether its listed dimensions fit your counter and its current price fits your budget.
- Evidence: Whether you are comfortable evaluating the product from manufacturer specifications until exact-model independent testing is available.
Breville’s discontinued Precision Brewer Glass is a separate drip brewer, not another name for the Spiral Luxe.
