What was in the creator gift package?
PC Guide reports that creator TmarTn showed a black Rockstar-branded box containing a blue baseball cap with a pink Rockstar logo, a matching T-shirt, stickers, a blue-and-pink GTA VI tote bag, and a Zippo lighter branded with Rockstar and Vice City. GamesRadar describes the same main items. PC Guide’s report and GamesRadar’s coverage characterize the package as creator merchandise, not the paid Vice City Collection.
Dexerto separately reports that creator gifts also included unreleased T-shirts, tote bags, and a money clip. That money clip is not among the items PC Guide lists from TmarTn’s unboxing, so it should not be treated as a confirmed part of that specific box.
What is the $399.99 Vice City Collection?
Rockstar describes the Vice City Collection as “A premium, limited-edition collectible set featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator.” That is a different product from the creator gift package: its focus is memorabilia tied to the fictional GTA VI world.

PC Guide reports a $399.99 price and lists 11 pieces: a Macca figure, magnetic mirror, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, Leonida Keys crossbody bag, New Era snapback hat, shot glass, swizzle spoon, razor-blade keychain, pins, stickers, and a double-sided Leonida map poster. PC Guide and Dexerto report that the collection does not include a copy or digital code for GTA VI. Check Rockstar’s live product listing for current price and availability before purchasing.

The distinction is also about what each package is for. The creator box, as described, leans toward items someone could wear or use. The Vice City Collection is designed as a themed collectible set. Which seems more appealing depends on whether practical branded merchandise or world-specific memorabilia matters more to you; the reported price alone does not establish value for money.

Why are some fans saying the creator merch looks better?
Some social comments quoted in coverage favor the creator merchandise. Dexerto, for example, reported a commenter saying, “Rather have that than the collector’s edition.” Those remarks illustrate individual reactions, not a poll or representative measure of GTA fans. People who prefer clothing and everyday accessories may favor the creator package, while collectors may value the Macca figure and Leonida-themed pieces.
Can you buy the creator bundle?
The cited coverage does not confirm that Rockstar sells the creator items to the public. GamesRadar raises the possibility that Rockstar might sell them separately, and Dexerto also notes potential future availability, but neither establishes a release or public shop listing. Treat the items as creator gifts unless Rockstar publishes an official product page.

Where does the game itself fit in?
The merchandise is separate from the game. Rockstar’s editions page lists the GTA VI Standard Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in “Digital or Code in Box” formats. “Code in Box” should not be read as confirmation of a physical disc. If you want the game rather than collectibles, check Rockstar’s official GTA VI page for the current edition information.
