The Moto Tag 2 was reported at $19.99 for one or $69.99 for a four-pack on Amazon on September 29, 2026. The four-pack works out to $17.50 per tag, but that per-tag price requires buying four; the single is the simpler way to try one. Prices and stock can change quickly, so check the listing before buying.
What the Moto Tag 2 costs in the reported deal
According to 9to5toys’ September 29, 2026 deal report, Amazon listed the Moto Tag 2 for $19.99 individually or $69.99 for a four-pack. The bundle price divides to $17.50 per tag. The report put typical pricing at about $30 for one and $100 for four, so the reported offer was substantially lower. Those are a dated price snapshot, not a guarantee of today’s price or availability.
A 9to5Google report updated August 24, 2026 also listed a $19.99 single and an $80 Amazon four-pack, while Motorola’s four-pack was $100 at that time. The differing bundle prices underline why it is worth checking the live Amazon listing for the current price, seller, stock and shipping details. See the Moto Tag 2 Bluetooth tracker listing.
How Moto Tag 2 finds things—and what “accurate” means
Finding a tag that is away from your phone
Moto Tag 2 works with Google Find Hub. When the tag is out of your phone’s Bluetooth range, Find Hub can help locate it through the Android device network. That network-based location is different from having your own phone point you directly toward a nearby tag; the result depends on the Find Hub network and the circumstances around the missing item.

Nearby precision depends on your phone
For nearby finding, the tag combines Bluetooth Low Energy, Ultra Wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth Channel Sounding. Motorola says basic pairing is supported on Android 9 or later through the moto tag app, while Channel Sounding requires a supported Bluetooth 6.0 Android phone running Android 16 or later. UWB and Channel Sounding can improve direction and distance, but those advanced features are not available on every Android handset. Check your phone’s specifications and compatibility before buying if precision finding is the main reason you want a tracker. Motorola’s Moto Tag 2 product page and setup guidance describe the product and requirements.
Compatibility, battery and useful extras
- Android compatibility: Motorola says the tracker works with any Android device through the moto tag app and Google Find Hub; basic pairing requires Android 9 or later.
- Battery: Motorola claims over 600 days from a replaceable CR2032 coin cell. Actual runtime can vary with use and conditions; the figure is the manufacturer’s claim.
- Design and controls: Motorola describes a thin, water-resistant design. A button can help find a phone and can also act as a camera shutter.
Privacy and unwanted-tracker alerts
Motorola says: “Your device location data is safely stored within Google Find Hub network, meaning that Google can never view or access it.” Its documentation also describes notifications when an unfamiliar tracker is moving with a person, an anti-stalking safeguard worth knowing about if you carry the tag. Is Moto Tag 2 a good Android tracker deal?
The reported price is appealing if you want a current Android tracker with UWB support and your phone can use the advanced nearby-finding features. Choose the single at $19.99 in the reported deal if you only need one or want the lower upfront cost. The $17.50-per-tag figure applies only when buying the four-pack at its reported $69.99 price.
Before deciding, compare the live cost per tag with what you need: Find Hub network-based recovery, compatible-phone support for UWB or Channel Sounding, battery format and longevity, water resistance, and unwanted-tracker alerts. A lower purchase price does not make advanced precision available on an incompatible phone, and no tracker can guarantee that a lost item will be found.
