You can store multiple eSIM profiles on a Samsung Galaxy S23, but Samsung says only one eSIM profile can be active at a time. Samsung’s S23-specific support page does not state a universal maximum number of profiles the phone can store, so claims such as “10 eSIMs” are not an established S23-wide specification.
Stored eSIM profiles are not the same as active lines
An eSIM profile contains the subscription information and credentials supplied by a mobile operator. Samsung Research explains that a downloaded profile takes the role of a traditional SIM card. The phone can retain multiple profiles, but retaining them does not mean they all connect to mobile networks at once.
Samsung Gulf’s S23 support page says the Galaxy S23 Series can store multiple eSIM profiles, “though only one can be active at any given time.” That is the key limit for eSIM use on the S23. Samsung Gulf: Galaxy S23 SIM and eSIM support
Is there a maximum number of profiles the S23 can store?
Samsung’s cited S23 guidance does not publish a numeric storage limit. Samsung’s broader eSIM guidance says the number of profiles can vary with factors such as the phone model and carrier support; available eSIM memory also matters. The accurate answer is therefore “multiple,” not a guaranteed count that applies to every S23 variant. Samsung Gulf: How many eSIMs can I use?

Samsung’s U.S. specification sheets for listed Verizon and AT&T Galaxy S23 variants identify dual-SIM capability and Nano SIM/eSIM, but do not state how many eSIM profiles the phone can store. Those specifications should not be read as a profile-storage count. Samsung US Business: Galaxy S23 Verizon specifications · Samsung US Business: Galaxy S23 AT&T specifications
Can the S23 use an eSIM and a physical SIM together?
Samsung Gulf says the Galaxy S23 Series supports one physical SIM and one eSIM simultaneously. U.S. carrier-specific specifications also list dual SIM and Nano SIM/eSIM for the variants they cover. Physical-SIM hardware and carrier behavior can differ by market and exact model, so confirm your device’s specifications rather than assuming every regional S23 is identical.

Why two active eSIMs is a different question
Android documents a feature called Multiple Enabled Profiles (MEP), which can allow devices that implement it to use multiple enabled profiles on eSIM hardware and connect to two carriers. That general Android capability does not establish that the Galaxy S23 supports it. Samsung’s S23-specific guidance instead says only one eSIM profile can be active at a time. - Identify the exact model and market. Check the model number and regional specifications for your phone; S23 SIM configurations are not established as identical across all markets.
- Confirm carrier support. Ask your mobile provider whether it supports eSIM activation for your particular S23 variant and what subscription or activation steps are required. Samsung advises users to consult their provider for an eSIM subscription.
- Plan profile changes carefully. If you need to replace or remove a profile, check with the carrier first about how to restore service. A stored profile is not the same as an active connection, and the cited S23 guidance does not give a universal profile count or promise that a deleted profile can be recovered.
Regional guidance also should not be generalized: Samsung China describes a limit of up to two stored and activated profiles for supported Galaxy devices purchased in mainland China, but its examples do not identify the S23. That page does not establish a two-profile limit for the S23 elsewhere. Samsung China: eSIM on Galaxy devices in mainland China
