The Lenovo ThinkCentre M910x Tiny is worth considering today only if its compact size, mounting options and port flexibility matter more than modern performance—and you can find one in good condition at a suitably low used price. It is a withdrawn 2017-era platform, not a current desktop. The original reviewers also thought its price was difficult to justify.

What the ThinkCentre M910x Tiny is

The M910x Tiny is a small business desktop designed to fit behind a monitor, under a desk or on a wall. IT Pro’s review unit, tested in 2019, paired a quad-core Intel Core i5-7500 with 8GB of DDR4-2400 memory, a 256GB SATA/NVMe M.2 drive, Intel HD Graphics 630, Windows 10 Pro and a three-year on-site warranty. Expert Reviews published a substantially matching configuration in May 2019. IT Pro’s review and Expert Reviews’ review describe the reviewed systems.

Lenovo’s platform specification covers 6th- and 7th-generation Intel Core, Pentium and Celeron processors; the exact processor depends on configuration. Lenovo now marks the M910x platform as withdrawn on its PSREF product page.

How small is it, and how can it be mounted?

IT Pro measured the reviewed chassis at 36mm thick and 18cm across, with a volume of 1,264cm³. Lenovo’s 2017 datasheet described the Tiny as 96% smaller than a traditional desktop tower. That comparison is Lenovo’s claim, while the physical measurements are from IT Pro’s 2019 review.

Ports, displays and expansion

Lenovo’s datasheet lists six USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports—two on the front and four on the rear—along with Ethernet, audio connections and two DisplayPort outputs. Wireless networking is optional rather than universal. A configurable rear punch-out can add DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-C with display function, VGA or serial connections. The graphics-versus-drive trade-off

The optional AMD Radeon RX460 4GB board occupies the 2.5-inch bay, so that configuration gives up the internal 2.5-inch drive position. Lenovo specifies the RX460 option for 35W CPUs. If you need both discrete graphics and additional internal storage, confirm how the particular system is configured rather than assuming the options coexist.

Performance and everyday use

IT Pro described the reviewed Core i5-7500 system as acceptable for mainstream office work and reported an overall benchmark score of 100. Expert Reviews also characterized performance as good, while criticizing the setup software and overall value. These are assessments of the configurations reviewed in 2019, not a comparison with current mini PCs.

There is no current market-wide price figure established here. Since Lenovo marks the platform withdrawn, a used purchase is best judged by the individual machine’s price, condition, included power supply, installed memory and storage, and any remaining warranty. Treat a low sticker price as only one part of the calculation: a worn or incomplete unit may need replacement parts or lack the support you expect from a new business PC.

Who should buy the M910x Tiny?

  • Consider it if you need an unusually compact office PC, value Lenovo’s Tiny mounting or Tiny-in-One ecosystem, need the configurable rear port board, or have found a refurbished unit at a compelling price.
  • Look elsewhere if you need current CPU performance, modern integrated graphics, up-to-date operating-system support, or predictable new-product warranty coverage.
  • Compare carefully with the Dell OptiPlex 7060 Micro and newer mini PCs. Check CPU generation and sustained performance, graphics, display outputs, upgrade options, mounting accessories, noise and power, warranty and the total used price—not just the chassis size.

Before paying, inspect the precise processor and graphics configuration, test every required display output and port, verify memory and storage, and confirm the seller’s return terms. Lenovo’s withdrawal status makes the specific unit and its condition especially important.
