Ninja PREPi is a countertop food-prep system designed to chop, purée, slice, shred and make crinkle cuts in bowls that can also serve as storage containers. SharkNinja announced it on October 2, 2026, with sales beginning that day at SharkNinja.com. Its launch release mentions an $18 salad—not a $27 typical salad—and provides no independently measured savings figure. SharkNinja’s announcement frames the product as a way to bring meal preparation, serving and storage together; that convenience is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified performance result.
What is Ninja PREPi?
PREPi is a compact countertop appliance for preparing ingredients in bowls intended for serving and storage as well as food prep. SharkNinja positions it as a way to reduce the number of separate tools and containers involved in making a meal. The standard PN301 handles chopping, puréeing, slicing, shredding and crinkle cuts. The PN351 adds dicing through an included kit.
The launch announcement’s salad line is: “Whether you’re tired of dropping $18 on a salad, or fresh out of time to make dinner after a long workday, meet your new kitchen sous chef: Ninja PREPi™.” That is SharkNinja’s marketing framing. It does not establish $18 as a typical salad price, support the title’s $27 figure, or show that buying PREPi will save a particular amount.
PN301 vs. PN351: what changes?
The main configuration difference is whether the dicing kit comes in the box. SharkNinja says the kit is also sold separately for PN301, so buyers who want dicing can compare the standard model plus accessory with the PN351 bundle.

What comes with the standard PN301?
SharkNinja’s PN301 product description lists a 500-watt motor base and two bowls: a 5-cup bowl and a 7-cup bowl. The package also includes lids and spindles for the bowls, a chop/purée blade, a reversible disc for slicing and shredding, and a crinkle disc. The bowl-and-lid setup is central to the system’s prep, serve and store pitch: ingredients can be prepared in a bowl and kept with its lid rather than transferred to a separate storage container.

For dicing, SharkNinja identifies the separate PN301 accessory as model XSKPN3DICGKIT. Compare its current price with the difference between PN301 and PN351 before choosing; the available evidence establishes the kit’s availability, but not a lasting price advantage for either route.
Does PREPi actually solve the $27 salad problem?
There is no substantiated $27 benchmark in SharkNinja’s launch announcement. The company uses an $18 salad as a marketing comparison and does not provide an average salad price, a cost-per-meal calculation, or a quantified estimate of household savings. The announcement also does not show that PREPi’s purchase price is recovered through making salads at home.

Whether making a lunch at home costs less depends on ingredient prices, portion size, what is already in the kitchen and how much food goes unused. PREPi may suit someone who regularly prepares chopped or sliced ingredients and values using the same bowls for storage. The product information available for launch does not establish how much time it saves, how easy it is to clean, how durable or noisy it is, or whether it outperforms a knife or a full-size food processor.

DJ Hageman, Ninja’s vice president of marketing, said PREPi was created to bring food-prep steps together, pointing to knives, cutting boards, serving bowls and leftover containers as tools that can accumulate during meal preparation. This explains the product’s intended convenience, but it is a company description rather than independent testing.

Actor and television host Jonathan Bennett also praised the system in the launch materials, describing it as useful for dicing vegetables and preparing meals to bring and store on set. That testimonial is part of the launch campaign, not an independent product evaluation. Neither statement establishes actual time saved or a reduction in cleanup for a typical household.
