Short answer: Neurable’s MW75 Neuro headphones do not clinically detect or diagnose burnout. They use 12-channel EEG sensors to estimate focus and related cognitive signals, then the companion app can suggest a personalized Brain Break when its algorithms infer that recovery may help.
That makes the product a wellness and productivity aid, not a medical burnout test. The original MW75 Neuro is listed at $699, while the MW75 Neuro LT, announced on September 30, 2025, is listed at $499 and is nearly 12% lighter.
What the MW75 Neuro headphones actually measure
Soft-fabric EEG sensors inside a wireless headset
The MW75 Neuro is a premium over-ear wireless headphone with 12 soft-fabric EEG channels built into the earcups. While you listen, the sensors record electrical activity from the scalp. Neurable’s AI then processes those signals and turns them into app-based cognitive metrics.
The headphones use Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive. Neurable lists a wireless range of up to 100 feet (30 meters). They are designed to function as ordinary premium headphones as well as a brain-sensing device.

- Dual-Connections: Connect to two devices simultaneously with Bluetooth 5.0 and instantly switch between them. Whether you're working on your laptop, or need to take a phone call, audio from your Bluetooth headphones will automatically play from the device you need to hear from.
- App for EQ Customization: Download the soundcore app to tailor your sound using the customizable EQ, with 22 presets, or adjust it yourself. You can also switch between 3 modes: ANC, Normal, and Transparency, and relax with white noise.
Focus estimates, not a direct burnout reading
The app presents focus and other cognitive indicators rather than a meter labeled with a medically established burnout score. Neurable says the system can provide real-time biofeedback, help users identify periods of higher focus and recommend breaks when cognitive strain or attention patterns suggest recovery would be useful.
Can Neurable tell you when you need a break?
It can issue a Brain Break cue, but the cue is an algorithmic recommendation based on estimated focus and strain. A typical use looks like this:
- Wear the headphones while working or listening. The 12 EEG channels collect brain-signal data during use.
- Let the app process the signals. Neurable AI estimates focus and related cognitive metrics from the recordings.
- Watch the feedback. The app displays changing metrics so you can see when concentration appears stronger or weaker.
- Respond to a Brain Break prompt. The recommendation is intended to encourage a restorative pause before prolonged effort becomes counterproductive.
- Plan demanding tasks around your own patterns. Neurable’s stated goal is to help users schedule difficult work for higher-focus periods and build more consistent recovery habits.
The recommendation is not a diagnosis, and you should not treat a missed prompt as proof that you are recovered or an alert as proof that you have burnout.

- Block the World, Keep the Music: Four built-in mics work together to filter out background noise — whether you're in a packed office, on a crowded commute, or moving through a busy street — so every beat comes through clean and clear. (Not available in AUX-in mode.)
- Two Ways to Hear More: BassUp technology delivers deep, punchy bass and crisp highs in wireless mode — then step it up further by plugging in the included AUX cable to unlock Hi‑Res certified audio for studio-level clarity.
- 40 Hours. 5-Minute Top-Up: With ANC on, a single charge keeps you listening through days of commutes and long-haul flights. Running low? Just 5 minutes plugged in gives you 4 more hours — so you're never stuck waiting.
- Two Devices, Zero Hassle: Stay connected to your laptop and phone at the same time. Audio switches automatically to whichever device needs you — so a call never interrupts your flow, and getting back to your playlist is just as easy. Designed for commuters and remote workers who move smoothly between work and personal listening throughout the day.
- Your Sound, Your Rules: The soundcore app puts everything at your fingertips — dials your ideal EQ with presets or build your own, flip between ANC, Normal, and Transparency modes on the fly, or wind down with built-in white noise. One app, total control.
Does the headset detect occupational burnout?
Not in the clinical sense. Burnout is a broader condition involving work-related exhaustion, mental distance or cynicism and reduced effectiveness. EEG-derived attention estimates can be one personal signal, but they cannot establish that condition on their own.
What Neurable claims
Neurable describes the headphones and app as tools to “banish burnout over time” by tracking brain waves, building better focus habits and encouraging recovery. Those are product and wellness claims about behavior support, not a declaration that the headset can diagnose a disorder.
What has been independently demonstrated
The available product materials do not provide a peer-reviewed clinical trial showing that MW75 Neuro reduces occupational burnout. Neurable’s FAQ mentions testing with Mayo Clinic participants, but it does not publish a protocol, participant count, statistical result or independent outcome paper in the materials identified here. The defensible conclusion is that the headphones estimate focus and can prompt breaks; whether that lowers burnout remains unvalidated by independent clinical evidence.

Privacy questions to answer before using one at work
Brain-signal data is more sensitive than ordinary headphone telemetry. Neurable’s FAQ says it stores focus data and brainwave-signal-quality data to present metrics and optimize the product.
For the LT, TechRadar reported that some new metrics combine on-device and cloud processing. The report also noted that Neurable had not disclosed exactly which data is transmitted to the cloud. That uncertainty matters if you plan to wear the headset during confidential work or connect it to an employer-managed phone.
- Read the current privacy policy and app permissions before pairing the headset.
- Check whether account creation is required and whether data can be deleted or exported.
- Ask who controls the account if the headset is supplied by an employer.
- Do not assume that “on-device” processing applies to every metric, especially on the LT.
- Keep the app and headset firmware updated, since processing behavior and disclosures can change.
Who is likely to benefit?
A reasonable fit
- You want premium wireless audio and are interested in experimenting with personal focus feedback.
- You are willing to treat Brain Break prompts as optional coaching rather than medical advice.
- You can make a practical privacy decision after reviewing the current data policy.
- You value seeing your own attention patterns over time more than receiving a clinical label.
Look elsewhere if you need a burnout diagnosis
Choose a qualified clinician or occupational-health service for assessment of persistent exhaustion, detachment, sleep problems or declining performance. A conventional headphone may be the better purchase if your priority is simply audio, comfort and noise reduction; ordinary headphones do not add the EEG-based metrics, but they also avoid collecting brain-signal data.

Are Neurable’s EEG headphones worth buying?
The answer depends on what you expect. The MW75 platform is a genuine consumer headphone with integrated 12-channel EEG sensing, and its software offers a novel way to notice attention changes and schedule breaks. That combination may justify the premium for users who will actively use the feedback.
It is not good value if you are buying it to prove that you have—or do not have—burnout. The evidence currently supports a focus-and-recovery coaching feature, not a validated medical detector. Before ordering, confirm current stock, delivery timing and the privacy terms for the model and region you will use.
