It does not guarantee frost-free conditions or a fixed number of extra growing days. Can it protect plants from frost and cold?
The panels and enclosure can reduce exposure to cold air and wind, but the available product information does not establish that BloomGreen will prevent frost damage in every climate or during a hard freeze. A greenhouse without supplemental heat can cool substantially overnight, so sensitive plants may still need to be moved, covered or heated when temperatures approach their limits.

Use the greenhouse as one layer of protection: check conditions inside with a thermometer, pay attention to overnight forecasts, and match protection to the crop. Closing the door and vent in cool periods helps retain warmth; where a forecast threatens plants, use appropriate frost protection rather than assuming the structure alone will keep them safe.
Ventilation prevents a sheltered greenhouse from becoming too hot
Sunlight can raise temperatures inside an enclosed greenhouse, including on a cool day. BloomGreen models use roof vents, and the 6′ × 8′ model also has a sliding door. Opening these allows heat and humid air to escape; closing them in cool conditions helps conserve warmth. Ventilation is therefore part of season extension, not the opposite of it: it helps keep plants from overheating or sitting in persistently humid air when the greenhouse is warm.

Outsunny lists several footprints, from compact options for seedlings to longer structures that can accommodate more plants or work space. The 6′ × 8′ model has a listed covering area of about 52 ft². Other listed footprints are 6′ × 10′, 12′ × 6′, 16′ × 8′ and 20′ × 8′. Compare the actual dimensions and layout for the specific regional model before buying; dimensions and features can differ between listings.

For each specific model, also compare panel thickness, roof-vent number and adjustability, door access, headroom, base and anchoring method, and how much room remains for pathways and worktables. The 6′ × 8′ specification lists 4 mm polycarbonate panels, a roof vent, sliding door, reinforcing base and rain gutters; do not assume every feature is identical across sizes or regions.
Installation, wind and snow limits
Outsunny requires assembly and recommends positioning the greenhouse against a wall and out of the wind. Its U.S. 6′ × 8′ specification lists stated wind resistance of 12 m/s and weight capacity of 8.19 lb/ft² (Outsunny, accessed 2026-10-02). These are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee of performance in every installation or storm. A regional product page warns that the unit is not designed for extreme weather such as heavy snow.

Before ordering, check the local listing for installation requirements and whether its stated limits suit your site. The regional page says two people should allow roughly four hours for assembly; actual time will depend on experience and site preparation. Prepare a stable, level location and follow the manufacturer’s assembly and anchoring instructions. In areas prone to heavy snow or severe wind, do not treat the greenhouse as a structure rated for those conditions.

- For seedling protection or a small collection: start by checking whether the 6′ × 8′ footprint leaves adequate room for access as well as plants.
- For mature crops, shelving or a worktable: consider a longer or wider listed footprint, then confirm the specific model’s headroom, door access, vents and dimensions.
- For a constrained site: measure available ground space and the route for carrying components to the location, and leave room to open the door and work around the structure.
- For exposed or snowy locations: weigh the stated product limits and local weather carefully; a larger greenhouse does not remove the need for suitable anchoring or a weather-appropriate site.
Choose based on usable growing space and your conditions, not the season-extension wording alone. BloomGreen can provide shelter and help manage warmth and airflow, but the manufacturer’s descriptions do not establish a specific crop outcome or frost-free operating range.
