CentriLogic announced on August 28, 2014, that it had purchased Adveniat Corporation, a U.S. Virgin Islands data-center operator and hosting-services provider. CentriLogic said the acquisition expanded its infrastructure footprint and improved its ability to serve customers in the Caribbean and Southern Hemisphere; the purchase price and detailed terms were not disclosed.
What CentriLogic acquired
Adveniat operated a data center in the U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) and provided hosting and related infrastructure services, according to CentriLogic’s August 28, 2014 announcement. CentriLogic described itself at the time as a provider of cloud, managed-hosting, colocation, and IT-outsourcing services.
The release called the purchase CentriLogic’s third acquisition in the preceding 18 months. CentriLogic reported that after the deal it had nine data centers in seven markets; those are figures from the company’s 2014 announcement, not a current company count.
Why CentriLogic said it bought Adveniat
CentriLogic presented the deal as a way to extend its geographic reach into the Caribbean and improve service access toward the Southern Hemisphere. In contemporaneous coverage, Data Center Knowledge likewise described the expanded footprint as a means of serving those regions.

The buyer also emphasized the USVI’s telecommunications position and the acquired facility’s potential relevance to e-commerce and payment-processing activity. These points explain CentriLogic’s stated rationale; they are not independent assessments of the acquisition’s performance.
Adveniat’s connection to RTPark
CentriLogic’s release said the University of the Virgin Islands Research and Technology Park (RTPark) had selected Adveniat as its first approved strategic partner in 2008. It also described Adveniat as the exclusive managed-hosting provider to RTPark tenants at the time of the acquisition. Those statements concern the historical arrangement reported in 2014, not necessarily its status today.

The release highlighted RTPark’s ability to administer incentives for qualifying knowledge-based and e-commerce businesses, citing “up to a 90 percent reduction in income tax liability on qualifying revenues.” That was a company-reported claim in 2014. It does not establish current tax rules, eligibility, compliance requirements, or the result for any particular business, and should not be treated as present-day tax advice.
What was disclosed about the deal
CentriLogic announced that it had purchased Adveniat, but the available contemporaneous coverage did not disclose a purchase price or detailed transaction terms. Data Center Knowledge explicitly reported that terms were not disclosed. No transaction value is established by the cited sources.

CentriLogic President and CEO Robert Offley said in the 2014 announcement: “By acquiring Adveniat we have established Centrilogic as the RTPark’s premier independent gateway and hosting provider, and we are now the first carrier-neutral managed hosting provider in the USVI”. This is the company’s characterization at the time, not independent confirmation of market rank or provider status.

That is not established by the available information. CentriLogic’s current locations page lists locations in Canada, the continental United States, and India, but does not show a USVI site. Its absence from that page alone does not prove that the former Adveniat facility closed, changed ownership, or stopped operating.

CentriLogic currently describes services including managed hosting, colocation, and disaster recovery on its managed infrastructure page. Those current service descriptions do not establish that the offerings are delivered from the former Adveniat site. Confirmation from CentriLogic or RTPark would be needed to establish the facility’s present operating status.
