Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIntel announced its Battlemage desktop graphics cards for late 2024 and early 2025, and those announced windows have passed: the Arc B580 Limited Edition was scheduled for Dec. 13, 2024, and the B570 for January 2025. Celestial is different. Intel named it in an earlier Arc roadmap and said development had begun, but the sources reviewed do not confirm a 2026 consumer Celestial gaming card, its specifications, or a retail launch date.
When did Intel Battlemage launch?
Battlemage is the codename for Intel’s Arc B-Series desktop generation. On Dec. 3, 2024, Intel announced that its Arc B580 Limited Edition would be available starting Dec. 13, 2024, with a starting launch price of $249. Intel’s B-Series infographic placed the B570’s availability in January 2025. These are Intel’s historical announced dates and launch pricing, not statements about current stock or prices.
Accordingly, the title’s 2024 timing applies to the B580’s announced availability, while the B570 was announced for the following month. The dates should not be read as evidence that every board-partner model was available everywhere on those exact days.
Is Intel Celestial still coming?
Intel introduced Celestial as a future Arc generation in its Aug. 16, 2021 roadmap. On Feb. 17, 2022, Intel said architecture work had begun and described the intended segment as ultra-enthusiast. Those statements document roadmap intent at the time; they did not set a retail launch date or guarantee a particular consumer graphics card.

In the official product announcements reviewed, Intel has not confirmed a consumer Celestial gaming-card model, specifications, price, or release date. The supported status is therefore unconfirmed, not “cancelled.” A missing announcement is not proof that Intel has discontinued the project.
Does Intel’s 2026 Xe3P GPU mean Celestial is launching?
No. On Oct. 14, 2025, Intel announced Crescent Island, a data-center GPU using Xe3P, and said customer sampling was expected in the second half of 2026. That is a data-center product and a sampling expectation, not an announcement of a retail Arc Celestial gaming card. Sampling also should not be conflated with a consumer launch or general availability.

Intel’s 2026 newsroom material reviewed here also includes Arc Pro B70 and B65 workstation graphics, but that announcement does not confirm a consumer Celestial card. Workstation, data-center, and consumer gaming products serve different markets; one product’s architecture or schedule does not establish the launch timing of another.

Intel has named Celestial as a later Arc generation, but the roadmap references available do not establish when—or in what form—a consumer Celestial product will arrive. They are not enough to support a forecast of a 2026 retail launch. Nor do they verify other unannounced consumer models. Treat a specific next-card name, specification, or release window as speculation unless Intel confirms it.

For readers choosing hardware now, the B580 and B570 are the relevant Battlemage desktop models identified in Intel’s announcements. Their launch dates and the B580’s original starting price do not tell you today’s local price, stock, or performance. Those depend on the exact board model, seller, region, and current listings; no Celestial-versus-Battlemage benchmark comparison is possible without a confirmed Celestial retail card and comparable testing.
